Jumpjets only barely matter right now, the 4X sacrifices too much in the way of weaponry compared to the 2X. In either case, the 2X and 4X with their engine limits would make them suck far too much in comparison to the 3L. With or without the ECM.

Yep, they're both crap, but at least the 4x is quirky, the 2x has nothing going for it.

IMO (I have mastered the 3L and elited the others, and I almost mastered the 2X)
3L>2X=4X
2X is better for weapons, but that is equal to the 4X's quirkiness of ballistics on a light. AC/20 raven, gaussraven, AC/10 raven, Ultraraven, The possibilities!

Also, the 4X rules as it wins the prize for MWO's Top Urbanmech Imitator.

For all those who think the YLW is the only mech with an arm mounted AC/20

102KPH + enough ammo for 560damage - usually not enough armor to survive that long though

I'm curious as to why you went with double heat sinks and not endo and FF. Heat isn't an issue with only 1 gun and the weight saved with the other upgrades allow way more armour or a bigger engine.

The 2X is actually my favourite Raven... I had both the 3L and 2X Master before ECM made it into the game and to be honest i dont like running my 3L any more since it just feels too cheesy. The 2X can still make short work of anything it crosses paths with, it just needs a pilot that knows how to move right and aim his shots. Granted, its not an automated "I win" button like ECM-Streakboats trolling around nowadays, but i like my fights to require some kind of effort from my part.
What i must agree on is the stock engine being a deathtrap though.

You know what's funny? I'm nearing the end of my sordid relationship with this 2X, and just now I headshotted my second atlas of the night. It's actually... not terrible. peaked 600 damage so far with 4 MLAS and a Streak, the forced smaller engine means more room for heatsinks and therefore more ability to sustain my chain fire. I may yet keep him...
