When you are in the mechlab click the modules button. You'll see a bunch of empty slots for the modules. Mastering a mech just adds one more slot.

Yes its been said the engine doesn't like picture-in-picture modes, same reason we're not getting rear-view cam.

Why not? Am I not allowed to like what I said? Well I do. Else I likely wouldn't have bothered saying it to begin with. Why does everyone always have a problem with this?
