When can I add the advanced zoom to my mech? Do you only have to put 4000 XP in it, or do you have to unlock Master Pilot?

You have to have 5000 GXP to unlock it in the Pilot Tree, then buy the module...

Getting master will get you one additional module slot. All mechs start with 1-3 module slots.

Yep. Unlock it in the pilot lab, then equip it in the mechlab.

When you are in the mechlab click the modules button. You'll see a bunch of empty slots for the modules. Mastering a mech just adds one more slot.

Hope you didn't buy it yet. It currently isn't very good, huge blocky pixels. Don't know if PGI is going to make improvements.

They said they would, but then again they said they'd fix Machine guns and flamers, and add DX11 for months now.

It gets the job done, but it is not pretty.
The module costs more than most mechs (minus the equipment).

Actually I thought they said it was a limitation of the game engine with rendering everything twice. I had not heard it was being changed.

Some snipers like it, but others don't. So, ymmv.

Yes its been said the engine doesn't like picture-in-picture modes, same reason we're not getting rear-view cam.

I'm going to give it a try, I like the little zoom window in MW3 and MW4, I don't really like the entire view zooming in MWO, it throws off my groove

A better question is why would you want this at all. It's the worst module and basically just a waste of 5kgxp. I don't even regret my sensor module as much as I'd have regretted getting this thing.
