lol... I should just take this is a humorous post. The idea is certainly hilarious.

Sadly, it's far too absurd. Just with the copyright/licensing and everything, it wouldn't be possible.

Then there's the tech/power differences. I don't know most of the series/settings you mentioned, but Great Mazinger alone, a 32-ton mech, would probably destroy eight Atlases in one attack. Also, it can fly at mach 3...

I'll admit it would be quite funny to see that in action.

I'll start. Animu bots have jumpjets and supersonic pulsators everywhere, so they can glide around like little pushies. Battletech bots stand there like MEN, like rock'em'sock'em robots with lasers.

And CANNONS! Dont forget the CANNONS!!!

And, um... would we have to yell the names of our attacks when we use them?

I don't live with anyone, but I think it's still pretty embarassing to yell "MEDIUM LASER!" into an empty house.

Oh wait, sorry... "MIDIAMU REIZA!"

Short answer? No.

Long answer? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Ok, all snark aside, I really don't see the point. Battlemechs honestly don't make much sense outside of their natural habitat (they're an *especially* horrible fit to all of the more 'gundam' style mecha stuff). The battletech universe just doesn't really seem to be the right sort of place for that sort of crossover. And just like all of the silly 'who would win if the enterprise fought a star destroyer?' arguments, I can guarantee that absolutely zero percent of people would be satisfied with the outcomes of all those crossover fights.

Easy to answer, the Enterprise. Just watched Return of the Jedi. Two good hits destroyed Vadors super star destroyer. Okay so it lost navigation control and crashed into the Death Star. Still two hits and its out of commission.

Hey wait who started the silly yet entertaining cross over fights topic? <_<

Would you support Mechwarrior getting units and characters in Super Robot Wars?

For those who don't know, Super Robot Wars is the Giant Mecha game to rule all over the others. In Japan, if you had a Giant Mecha anime or game, you would find your way into Super Robot Wars.

Super Robot Wars has featured mecha from Gundam, Gurren Lagann, Robotech, Eureka 7, Code Geass, Great Mazinger, Getterobo and more.

Question is...would you support Mechwarrior joining the fight against the Aerogators, Einst and whatever other horrors that come along with the game?

I assure you that neither Super Robot Wars, nor Robotech, featured "mecha from Robotech." The concept of "mecha from Robotech" is incoherent. Please report to the nearest ROM office for re-education.

That said, BT is of a rather low tier on the Sliding Scale of Mecha Godmoding - to be generous, on par with Macross at best - and without anime-grounded personalities for the pilots. They'd have to cut them from whole cloth: it'd work for, say, Tech Romancer, but not for SRW which is a tribute to mecha anime.

The "anime styled Unseen" that I would want back are from Fang of the Sun Dougram, an anime which is even lower than Macross on the Sliding Scale of mecha power levels. <_<

...Well, yeah. *facepalm*

Dr. John Smith and this is K-9 yes he is metal dog!
Battletech mechs use Solaris7 fire rates, the Aerotech weapon ranges, and ACE Mechwarriors and we are good.

Sure, why not: stranger things have happened (yes, it's exactly what it looks like).

Hey how else could you have an epic UrbanMech/Boss Borot team-up with combo attack and all?

Plus the thought of putting one of those engines that give flight and a S-rating in all terrain (including space and underwater) in an Atlas makes me happy.

Nah. BT which on the more realistic side of the fence is incompatible with Japanese mecha. Heck, in the latest SRW game (2nd OGs), we have two mecha which shoot black holes in the EX-Exbein and the Granzon.

Only way to settle the BT vs Anime Mecha is to get a Warhammer to fight a Destroid Tomahawk
