I am looking forward to the patch when capping gives the right amount of reward just so idiots who cannot read my strategy can find something else to whine about.

When you decide a win is favourable you go either capping to speed it up or fighting to slow down and decrease the possible enemy counter moves.
As i dont see "losing for money" as a viable option i support the cappers when the circumstances have developed that way.
And i still have no clue why i won the game where it was 2-6 and half the time still was ticking down and no fast mech countered us last 2 survivors in our torn mechs...
But that is one of the reasons PUGs be more fun - its unpredictable what they do.

Like previously mentioned, instead of capping in 2 minutes and getting 25k C-Bills and little XP, you got more XP and C-Bills even while losing. To me, that is worth it to be honest for the extra 4 minutes.

I really don't pay attention but salvage is based off intact parts, seems to me a cap with no combat would max out salvage.

it was entirely accident you can't cap rush in an awesome and i was sticking with 6 other mechs. if they failed to see the enemy then why not cap and move on to a real match instead of splitting half way having a whinge so the enemy can roll 4 people then the next. didn't realise people are desperate for a few 1000 cbills. feel sorry for the poor folk out there who just want a knife fight and don't want to play the game even when they can win.
I'm sorry but, outfitting a 20-100 armored tank on legs with advanced weaponry, only to rush to a painted square on the ground and end it early without actually fighting isn't "playing the game". It's just adding credence to a broken mode.
The game's name is MechWARRIOR, try being one, you might have more fun, and get paid more....capping right now has two purposes.
Show how bad a mech pilot you are(don't even start on the strategy thing lest I point out how pathetic the cap strategy is)
or
Help you XP farm.(a symptom of PGI not scaling the XP rewards along with payout when adjusting cap values for their 'fix')
That's it, the holy grail of "playing the game" right? I know, f***ing awesome isn't it? Kinda like Farmville with mechs, or at least that's what it feels like when one of these players ends up on your team when you're trying to have a decent battle take place.

That sounds like bad game design then.
But as is. I have more C-bills/MXP/GXP then I know what to do with.

Yes please tell a trained professional soldier how awesome it is and how cool it is to put yourself in the line of fire. been killing Mecsh for 25 years, been killing Orcs, goblins, hobgoblins & dragons for 32 years. taking a moment to win a bloodless victory...Priceless. Number of matches I capped in 5 hours gaming... 1.
And Marduk is correct, no damage done no Salvage earned.

I got 125k and my buddy on the capping team made about 45k, he got more XP though, but it's the money I'm interested in.

Base-Rushing in the Assault Game Mode, however, is folly. There's no reason to rush for the enemy base right now. I don't have any sympathy for those who say that games are no fun when both teams Base Rush... because the key term there is "both." It takes 2 Tango, ya know. If you think it's boring when both teams Base Rush, then don't Base Rush.

You do get more XP for a win. I personally don't need XP till I buy a new mech.
Here is what you get from Winning:
More XP
Salvage
Salvage if you've killed 4 out of the 8 people on the other side it might be worth capping because Salvage can be a pretty large chunk of change.
I don't like how their is no money to be made purely from a win but, I am fine with Capping just giving an XP bonus. Not so much for Conquest. Resources should be the most lucrative way to win.

You want CBills per minute maxed, not CBills per game. If you cap rush 7 games in 15 minutes how many CBills do you get compared to one 15 minute game?
