[Irvine]

Was playing in a pug match yesterday and we won 8-0(or 8-1?). It was a fairly good stomp, the high dmg for the other team was ~180. Towards the end of the match one of the OPFOR(dead) starts complaining about how we "sync-dropped" him. There wasn't a premade on our team. I wonder what the next boogeyman will be?

P.S. I wish i would've screenshot-ed the chat.

P.P.S. There wasn't a mass of ECM, we only had one smart D-DC.

Heheh. Most people crying about sync-dropping and such fail to realize that there is a VERY VERY VERY tiny number of groups that do that and that most people playing are (probably) PUGs just like themselves.

Tis why I get a bag of popcorn when I see whining threads.

You can usually tell pretty easily when you get sync dropped. Nowadays, it's always a team of 4 ecm ravens backed up by LRM support and nothing else.

Not sure why they won't let us wear Merc/clan Tags in game yet. It would probably quiet a lot of players fears when they see how little sync drops happen...

What I want to know is, how do you know a small number of groups are doing it? I guess you have some insider knowledge that I dont.

Sync drops are there, does not take a rocket scientist to figure out the groups who do it when you see their names and scour the web checking rosters etc. But still not that common as some keep telling. As long as the game does not forbid this mechanic it will be used, so just live with it. Just press Launch and go again

This an excellent idea! More importantly, they should make the Merc Corp tags unremovable as long as you're a member so there's no option to make the hidden. This way, a group of PUGs will NEVER be mistaken for premades and sync-dropping 4-man premades will ALWAYS be exposed whenever they commit this dastardly and cowardly act!

I hit one once today. I was the 4th man on our team, right as I joined they got 4 more instantly. We slowly got to 8. Game started, was over a few minutes later 0 kills our side. They absolutely obliterated us. Usually even fighting a premade I get a kill or two but it was like 'bam' combat starts - dead.

I like this Idea, whenever we get a social system in this game that will be awesome, I guess next year when community warfare comes out.

Im tired about people being paranoid about losing to teams. Its not that hard to avoid it... just join a team. Seriously.

We'll have to wait for phase 3 and see how it works. A solo only drop option could make it hard for premades to find a match. It's worth waiting some time, and try to make the game playable to as much people as possible. 8 man premades got screwed in phase 2...

This is the problem (sorry to use you as an example, I am sure you are a nice person). You cannot judge who is in a pre-made by how quickly they load. There are many games where I load up at the same time as 3 other people on my team. Meanwhile the other team trickles in. Am I doing a pre-made? Nope, just loaded up with the other 3 people who are running high end rigs with SSD's. There is no way currently to tell who is in a group, no way. Hell, the other day I was accused of being in an 8 man sync drop because the match maker started the game when the other team only had 4 people. I was solo pugging, no idea why the game started when they were down by 4 but it did. These things happen, its not a conspiracy.
