I am going to say it again, nothing on this list will impact the game as much as collisions. If PGI is working on anything else they are dooming the game to failure.

60% of those playing now have never seen the game WITH them, and it is going to make a large majority of the Light Kids quit in rage.

Here's one crazy idea, I don't think it should be on the list....
But one thing I would have done - give everyone a single account but multiple pilots.

This way, they can have actual skill trees. You can build one pilot as your support/commander guy, and another as scout specialist, and so on.

You already have multiple pilots.. Or rather.. you have multiple mechs.
If they made it so you could only join a unit with a mech that you have mastered, essentially moving that mech into a unit's roster, that would allow accounts to be in multiple unit and unit types.

That would be too much like STO, and with PGI being the same size as Cryptic, I have severe reservations about it being pulled off timely and properly. Though I beleive PGI is a far more capable and competent developer. And because we're both from STO, I know you know where I"m coming from just as well as I know what you mean. The problem with being exclusively associated with one unit is time zones.. If your unit isn't on your play is hampered. Having the ability to join multiple game units would be helpful in the long term

I think 4 FPS bug seems to be the next thing they focus on, should they manage to deploy a patch next Tuesday, according to the votes.

You should track this post HC, update the vote as new bugs and content is adjusted.
