I don't like idea of uniques being added except for cannon mechs which can only be used in certain circumstances like a homeworld invasion which we will probably never see anyway. I'd hate to see a Diablo uniques system.

But I'd love to get a phoenix Hawk! That was my favorite light. :)

I was more thining makeing some of the reseen specials earned this way

Creating another mech would be difficult, but a single variant shoulder-patch or something would be cool and allow those of us committed to a few mech types to really work towards something.

Idea: Once you Elite a mech variant and build up further XP, you can trade it in on a colored arm "patch" or "badge"

50,000xp and you can buy the "Bronze Master Patch"
150,000xp to upgrade it to a "Silver Master Patch"
300,000xp to upgrade to a "Gold Master Patch"

This would allow people to differentiate themselves (if they desired) on the battlefield and work towards something after they elite a mech. It would avoid the worry of having any sort of P2W, plus I know darn well that I would work to follow the "Gold Master Patch" wearer into battle vs others.

Honestly, I just want a tad of respect for my 500,000xp on those variants. When I swing up to briefly skyline myself , I don't want anyone asking "does he know what he's doing" in that thing?
