The real question is, what in the world do you mean too long? What would you do once it was all unlocked as you apparently dislike the actual matches and learning how to be effective enough to make money? You want a Screenshot, just let me know how you pull that off as I can't seem to just import a jpg and posting a copied picture results in a post_too_short error. Too busy actually playing the game to master Forum Warrior Online.

To everyone complaining that it's to much of a grind I would recommend that you try out EVE Online for a while - now that's a game with a grind!
When you start out you'll make about 50 - 100k ISK (the in game currency) per real time hour, while the biggest ships in the game sell for upwards of 2 billion (yes a 2 with 9 zeros).

Not to talk about the skill grinding - skills train in real time (although even when you're offline) and you need at least half a year to start nearing a small level of competency in one specific area.

And all that's in a game that's not F2P but costs around 15€/month.

Too long to play ?

It takes no time at all to get a mech now for non-paying players.

The weapons etc don't even take that long. Maybe 5 matches for a couple of ML. (maybe 1h 30mins of play)

In comparison, Planetside 2 I require 1000 cert points just to unlock a weapon for pretty much any class or vehicle. (some are 250 but imo are useless)

Depending how long I play, it seems I can gain upwards of 100 cert points each night so far it seems (thats around 3 hours or more...no XP boosts or anything.).

so 10 days just for 1 weapon......... Granted once unlocked its there forever (somewhat is in MWO also if you don't sell it. :P ), but there are so many things to spend cert points on that fully upgrading any class or vehicle is going to take me a very very long time.....much much longer than to do it in MWO.

perhaps think about making more than 50 damage every match ^^ you´re one of those ppl, arent you ? :P

If you pick a heavy mech and go out with 50, well your poor team....

You are not getting the point. great you got 2 atlas for blah blah blah...there a a ton of mech ALL with diferent play styles that will take you for ever to get and equip AND YOU'L HAVE TO buy the space to have them along with the other three mechs for each one you like to get the tree skills. This is a P2W. If you want to be stuck in the same mech for ever good for you i dont i like to play differnet styles plus i dont have to time to grind. And i did get frustrated like they wanted us too and bought MC stil doesnt help.

There is nothing in this game that gives you an advantage over another player that you have to buy with real money.

Im sorry but I have read your whine post throughout this thread and think you just suck at this game.

I honestly don't really go by the Accumulative C-bills per match if a player has been playing since before the Economy was changed since playing then would inflate the nunmbers and depending on how many matches total before the change, that stat would be very slow to change.

I was more interested in the average XP per match. Just threw the cbils in too because I knew people would ask.

no problems here either. only pug. played yesterday for about 1h and made 1 mil c-bills. was a good day, but on average i make at least 4-500k c-bills per hour. so in 20h of gaming you can buy th emost expensive mech which..if you are a new player, will have no idea how to use it in just 20h or gameplay ;)

So you want a dice roll to give you a random victory or defeat screen when you press "find match"?

Cool Story Bro.

game's pace is near perfect. a couple of adjustments could be made, such as kicking the afk on base after 1 minute, and lowering slightly the match length in conquest, where matches tend to get boring when one light plays capping on the whole map.

I think it strikes a balance that creates value in spend MC for features instead of grinding them up.

If it were easy to get those c-bills, they wouldn't make money.

Take some pride in putting effort into a task and you'll appreciate it more.

This isn't Team Fortress or Mario Kart.

Sadly the grind is all part and parcel of this model of game development. They make it a PITA so people with money and not much time on their hands can think **** it ill just buy it with cold hard cash.

Personally im making ok money in game, enough to buy a new mech each month and i have a hangar full of every weapon i can get my grubby hands on to play with ;)

my average cbills per match has actually increased by 15-16k since the economy changes from 169k av. to 184,995 av.
I played around 350 matches from OB to the economy change, and about 180 since, so around a third of my matches are post economy change, which would be a big enough % to have an effect on my overall average

you could probably work out how much above 185k my post economy winnings would need to be to have that effect

this is with premium time running, so 123k av. without premium (I also played my founders mech alot more pre-economy and close to 0 after the economy change, so the economy change has had quite a positive effect on my average winnings)

very rough calculation, I think I'm about 22-25k better off since the economy patch average
I would have been even better off again because since the removal of RnR I've been levelling up Stalkers and one of them is a missile boat, so RnR would have crippled my earnings if I'd done that pre-patch
