When are you guys planning on doing proper documentation for the game, or at least sitting down with people in the community like Ohmwrecker and smurfy who take an interest in that sort of thing, and giving them the relevant details so they can write proper guides?

Also, is there a reason in particular why the patch notes are so light in content/dumbed down with so many stealth changes? Surely its quite clear that people will only complain if there's info missing, not if there's too much info.

Currently, having to guess at things is an exercise in frustration. It seems a bit counter-intuitive considering the efforts you guys have put into advertising like Google AdSense, to then mess up on the conversion rate by having such a high customer bleed from people who get fed up because they can't make head or tail of what's happening.

Collisions will change the game mechanic in a profound manner with implications far exceeding that of ECM, Laghsields, netcodes, balance issues, etc. EVERYTHING will be altered by this single factor. What is the timeline for adding it back to the game, or is it no longer in serious consideration?

Whats going on with community warfare. Will it still be in game 90 days after open beta, if not then when, and what are any details you can share about exactly how taking planets is going to work for both houses and merc cops.

I have already spent money on this game without checking forums first - you'd think I'd learn.

I have been an avid fan of MW for many years and really enjoy the asthetic and genre.

However, I really wish the devs would answer the ECM question as posed by Tolkien. It's pretty obvious that people who want to play mechwarrior aren't real mechwarriors just like people who play planetside aren't real soldiers with laserguns.

ECM has thus ruined the game for many of us. If you cannot balance this part of the game, it will die. Simple as that. I've posted a couple of times since starting but I doubt I will be back unless this issue is resolved.

I find it completely unacceptable that an issue brought up on every forum here so often is unresolved and completely ignored by developers - who let's face it are already facing an uphill battle with this genre. So often the MW games have been sub-par and this one in particular seems to be a rehash of gameplay of some of the very earliest of Mechwarrior games - nothing new to see.

Be smart, Hawken is now out without such problems. They are doing a roaring business. I've just come here in hopes of getting a more than decade old itch scratched and found a complete dogs breakfast as far as gameplay is concerned. Be smart and fix it.

Will there ever be "specialized" game types such as Stock mechs only, scenario, etc. like what was prevalent in MW4? I know there is a solid core or old school players out there who like to play mechs the way they were designed by the likes of Ceres Metals and Defiance Industries.

If there were a popular 'Mech suitable for MWO's timeline that did not have three variants, what would be the approach taken by the development team?

For example, a 'Mech such as the Devastator only has two variants that would appear in 3050.

All I want right now is knockdown to come back. To bad the devs only answer silly questions like how is the weather or what did you eat for breakfast.

I bet they will ignore any question regarding ECM and not provide any valuable information.

When will you finally realize that your implementation of ECM in the game is totally wrong from the TT game?
And if you decide not to do anything about it, then please at least make it so that there is at least ONE ECM EQUIPPED mech in each team during the matchmaking process!

My question is:
Are you happy with the Pilot and Mech skill trees and will they be expanding in the future with a greater variety of Skills that are not just passive bonuses? (could you elaborate on what we will see, Community warfare skills, other skill's outside of mech combat)

it is in the configuration file Crytek Engine - engine.pak\config\recording.cfg

or the reasons why this feature has not been activated?

Okay, a couple of quick ones, and I don't mind where the answers come from:

Is the 32 mech limit bug what Garth meant when he said Mech skills weren't the endgame?

Any plans to quickly fix the 32 Mech Master Module proficiency limit bug (In mechlab UI 2.0 is fine)?
I know this doesn't matter to many right now, but as OB progresses more people will hit it, especially as more mechs are released.

Can we get a reward of any sort for hitting the 32 mech limit?
(For promotion of mech diversity in MWO, and for OCD. Also a temporary relief awaiting a fix, and you did give nice pennants to the lucky people in the hunts )-; . How about a nice set of cockpit fuzzy dice? ).

I have two questions:

1) This question concerns how PGI will handle the Clan invasion. It's coming up a mere 2 months away now. New 'Mechs are being implemented into the game at a rate of only about 1 new 'Mech per month. From an onlooker's point of view, it seems progress has been slow. Does PGI have an ace up its sleeve with a full roster of Clan 'Mechs all ready to go when March comes around, or will they begin trickling in slowly as the IS 'Mechs have been up until now? Also, did PGI intend to have the game finished (as in out of Beta) before the Clans invaded? Such a major event seems as though it would be best unfolded in a finished game. What is PGI's take on that?

2) Will there ever be any sort of NPCs in the game in any shape or form? This can encompass many different possibilities, such as bot piloted 'Mechs (perhaps the Clans, and/or fighting alongside House 'Mechs against the Clans?), land/air/sea vehicles, turrets, dropships, infantry, etc?

How was it considered balanced to introduce a 1.5 ton 2 slot piece of equipment that does all of the following?:

i) Counters Artemis

Question 2 is about game outcome statistics versus number of ECMs on each team:
Put simply, are the outcomes measured here representative of the current state of the game? If not, how far off were my results?

tl:dr I gathered enough match outcome data that with >99.999% confidence (statistical not subjective) I can say that ECM superiority is a predictor of victory. Also I can say with >97% confidence that a team with more ECMs is at least 2x more likely to win than the team with less.



Why are you even bother, I mean not that i disagree with you, we need some information from the devs - ECM didn't have to be this strong in the first place. So it would be very unwise to balance other weapons and equipment just because 1 piece is overpowered and doesn't fit in game balance and deforms gameplay of MWO - which no one really wants.
Devs did great job by setting that you have to have LOS in order to lock target but this ECM thing is not really gonna last too long

An essay about ECM would be appreciated.
Why is it working as it does right now? Why do you believe it isn't a serious topic? What is yet to come to counter it, if any? Modules regarding its operation? Pilot skills? Why does NARC not counter it (in MW:O not TT)? Why can't I get a lock on a target I can see (No optical guidance systems in 3050?)? Will it interrupt seismic sensors (if they are implemented)?

Or short:

Please answer Tolkiens question.

1 When will the newest Europe server appear? It would increase a game experience and a feeling of the gameplay, if you did it. For example, Hawken or Planetside 2 players have Europe servers while we, the MWO fans, just have to wait. We are not really sure whether some improvements of the network code have been done or not.

2 Double heatsinks should be reconfigured. The current heat ballance does not properly fit any of Assaults(Stalker and Awesome only laser-rocket weapon very hot mech... only good LRM bot...).

3 Something strange happens with Ravens. They move like shadows on the field and can be hit only with Streak rockets. But it becomes impossible while they use an ECM. You can easily see how another pilots miss Ravens while shooting them from lasers, upon watching it via spectator mode.

4 So, where is a Highlander?

5 ECM mechs should be removed from random teams; otherwise, a BAP must counteract an ECM.

6 When does a premium Atlas / a premium Stalker come?

7. When will the screenshot function be activated done by CryEngine3 developers and stored in the file engine.pak\config\recoding.cfg?
