Narc bonuses... when ECM still counters Narc. Smart change but until you do something about ECMs it is almost a worthless change.

What they're subtley trying to say... Yes, we know NARC sucks. NO we don't have any meaningful way to make it useful... hence we have now resorted to PAYING you to use sucktastic equipment...thank you, come again...

Or you could think for five minutes and come to the conclusion that this is a precursor to an upcoming change to ECM/Narc that will make it worthwhile. Think before you post.

Not at all, just don't immediately whine about a feature that is obviously yet to be finished. We already had narc buffs last patch, expect more.

For a game that can entirely be F2P these guys are a decent dev team, and a responsive one at that. I think it's a little out of line to just jump down their throats about positive change.

I must be missing something. What did they do with NARC this last patch?

Edit: It looks like the NARC stuff is not in the forum patch notes. Are there other patch notes available?

Look towards the bottom, they increased the length of the beacon from 15 to 20 seconds. Not earth-shattering, I know, but it's good to know they're keeping it in their minds.

I believe this is what the OP is referring to.

C-bill and XP bonuses for NARC and TAG shouldn't be only once per 'Mech per match. They should work like spotting bonuses where you get XP and C-bills for every missile volley.

Apparently, there are two different sets of patch notes, one with and one without. Not sure which one is accurate, but the website one has the NARC and TAG payouts (without specification) while the forum one does not. Can anyone say if these bonuses are present in game?

i always thaught NARC could use the following abilities...

1. NARC should transmit without LOS but removes the grouping bonus.
2. LOS on NARC gains a small grouping bonus.
3. can penetrate ECM bubble it would reveal only the taged mech and also loose its grouping bonus.

Yes, maybe. But PGIs habbit of taking things that don't work properly out completely but put things in that don't work properly in parts can be a bit frustratting, ya know? :P Because until things are ironed out we can only play with the half-done features (or leave), sometimes for weeks.

Read somewhere in the patch feedback forum that people were not recieving any payout for using NARC and TAGs, even when confirming hits and subsequent damage.

Does anyone know how much (in cbills) the payout is supposed to be? I'm assuming similar to a spotting bonus.

All you need is 8 shots for a narc and the ability to not miss.

20s is pretty lame

If you don't like missing there's the TAG laser. (Lots)More ammo per ton is enough to cover the inaccuracy of rocket travel-time.
