I think this is an exceptional thread! Very good work.

I have to say a vew words to that "hacking" crap, that some people were saying here.
Well - I am the "Quake-Generation". I was changing game appearance in Quake World, Quake III, Counterstrike and other similar games, running on the Quake- or Unreal-Engine. It NEVER EVER was considered hacking to change these values. The Quake pros had no textures, overbright visual settings and there was even a time where "bright skins" (yes - older player will know this) were not considered cheating.

So - get a grip you all. Learn (again) using text editors for simple config files and start doing, what is doable with a PC. That IS why the PC is superior to any gaming console. You can do what YOU want to the game.

If the game engine supports it via config settings: Do it. When devs don't want these changes, they could lock them easily out. It has been done and will be done.

Using external programs for changing your game, adding visual effects or programming aimbots - THAT is cheating and hacking. Using a config file with the limitations the developers allow... that ain't no cheating!

Since this thread has been bumped and I'm now using a user.cfg file, I'll try OP's stuff.

Okay. Double post for bump. Here are my results.
However I tweaked the original config posted a little to retain some of heat vision's movement-induced fuzz.
