I mean, I actually run out of gauss rifle rounds with my YLW, something that *never* happened with my AC20

I wrote the guide on the Zombie Wang, and have played the Yen Lo Wang extensively.
It's a fine mech, but I actually got a refund for it, and got my MC back.
The reason for this is not because it was bad, but because it's hard point layout leads to a pitiful variety of viable builds for the machine. You can do well in it, but you can only do a few builds.
I would recommend the Muromets to anyone thinking of buying the YLW. The potential viable builds for the Muromets is much greater, and you'll enjoy the mech for a longer period of time.

@Vechs
How did you get a refund? PGI actually give refunds if you buy a Mech for MC your not happy with? I thought once you buy something its permanent. What about all the bonus cbills you got with the Yen Lo Wang? or is there a refund button that you can get a refund for a mech within 5 or less games of buying it?

Not necessarily. If you're landing your shots mostly CT and HD you can kill dealing very little damage.
Theoretically possible but 7 or 8 kills with that type of accuracy is even more improbable. When someone posts 7-8 kills with 600 damage, I will assume the far more likely scenario.

The Wang is bad yo...
And by Bad I don't mean Good.
Get yourself a 9A and **** it out and then do that kind of damage consistently in the 8-man queue...

It's name and shame for just posting a score sheet?

Oh I didn't say it was likely but I do notice a difference in the damage dealt with precision mechs vs shotgun mechs. It's not unusual for my CTF-3L to come out of a game only dealing 500 damage but with 4-5 kills. Conversely my Stalker with massive SRM batteries in the same situation would easily break 1000 damage.
A good clue I think on how much of it was KSing is to look at the other player's assist scores. Lots of assist's mean that the team as a whole was damaging.

4 headshots. I suppose you could say I stole a couple, but only if you count me ripping through the centre torso from behind or taking someones legs when most of the damage on them was spread all over.
At least my team wasn't terrible like most pugs though.
