Having played MW3/4 I was only ever obsessed about clantech - until i saw the MW5 trailer. Now very dissappointed that the warhammer (or marauder) won't be appearing in this game. Hold out hope for the Warhammer IIc?

I've always wanted the Warhammer for its capabilities more than its art, so unseen vs reseen doesn't matter to much to me as long as its getting new MWO style art makeover. As for the Hammerhands... I want one for the same reasons I want a Warhammer. I like the stock loadouts on both and the hardpoints would allow for some great builds.

Gimme a Warhammer...
Btw PGI made the wrong Hero Mech....
Take a Phract,
Swap the Ballistic hardpoint for a SRM6 hardpoint, putt in the Sidetorso's 2 Energy Hardpoints ( M-Laser and Small Laser ) and give him two "right" Arms with PPC inside.
Sell it for 6000MC
Make TONS of Money...
That would be the correct way.

@Sedant:
I dunno. Ive seen a reimagining of a Marauder that I think belonged to the Northwind Highlanders that was absolutely breathtaking. I could DRIVE one of those! (was never a Marauder fan).
Here it is: http://browse.devian...auder-309448707

i'm not sure how this law stuff works.
for example if the original Raven were intellectual property. With the MWO raven looking so drastically different from the original raven. would there still be a copyright issue? or there would simply because it is called the raven and is based on a copywrited raven?
any lawyers in here ? lol
so if they gave the warhammer the same treatment they did to the raven. would the hypothetical MWO warhammer still be infringing on copyright?

PGI does not have any of the rights to use art from the Technical Readouts (or any printed material for that matter. That right belongs to Topps, who is licensing the rights to Catalyst for current Battletech print media), or any of the previous games (which belongs to the individual game makers). All art for MWO has to be made exclusively for MWO. Regardless of "Unseen" status or not.
Hence, there should be no issue with PGI making their own art for the Unseen.
That being said, I would not mind if the Warhammer ended up looking more like the Hammerhands, I just don't want a Hammerhands instead of a Warhammer.
The Hammerhands is 5 tons heavier, the arms are ballistics instead of energy, and it's lacking ballistic hardpoints in the torsos.
EDIT: this is probably much like the Cataphract, in that no matter how you configure it, will never really be a Marauder. It's 5 tons too light and you can't mount the same composition of gear. At best it stands as a failure for being "almost" but never able to reach its full potential.
