Is this a base XP value increase or a percentage increase in gains? I'm just curious if 50% premium will give 50% of the existing and we get another 100% of the existing during the event or if the base is doubled and the 50% premium will be based on that value?

Example:

1 XP + 50% Premium + 100% Weekend bonus = 2.5 XP
2 XP + 50% Premium = 3.0 XP

Which one is it?

When in doubt, both.. at the same time

The event's double XP bonuses stack with other XP buffs, so those with Premium accounts will get even more of a boost than they already do.- from the article

I was informed that they said it on their live stream to celebrate the new patch, but I still think it should have been posted as an announcement right after this live stream ended.

Why it is not on the forums... It is called marketing. You build a positive report with gaming websites (as the bulk of new people come in form those places) and give them the news first and then you post it 12-24 hours later on the main website (or send out a newsletter)

The websites get more traffice (and thus more ad revenue) and we get new players to turn in to smoking wrecks. Everybody wins.

Blaaa I bet you will see something about it today 1-16 on the site or in an E-mail. My guess is they want to put some stuff together and try to hype it up. And not just made a post on the forums. Its the middle of the night they do go home. If they have something ready it will come out. We are going to be getting more exp, so who cares if a few sites poted it before they did.
