It's always been complete garbage. BattleTech fans are the worst.

Compared to what ? EVE fans are FAR worse than anything I have yet to see here. Maybe it comes from spending 10 hours a day spinning your ship in station waiting for something to happen....who knows.

Either way, things take time to be fixed. Devs can't snap their fingers and make it happen. While I agree that many issues are blown out of proportion, game balance isn't one of them. The current matching system and allowing 4 lights or 4 assaults into a game is making it far less fun for me. To the point I rarely play anymore.

This game hasn't left pre-alpha stage yet. It's so buggy, unbalanced and content limited that it's not even funny. Seriously, it's full of placeholders being just placeholders for more placeholders which will be added in the future like the current economy, matchmaking and weapon balance. Besides, beta test implies that the players get to actually test something, report the results to the devs and get some sort of reaction in the form of balance tweaks. PGI just doesn't listen to its testers and seemingly adds or removes things at random, unless the devs themselves become victims of abuse (see collisions which were removed after the players bullied the devs in game with them). We have been waiting for PPC and ER weapon buffs for 3 months now and truedubs are still untested in-game, even though the community has been asking for them and presenting logical arguments and math why we need them for months now. And I'm not even talking about the catapult torso twist and ballistic hardpoint nerf.

I don't know squat about game development

but i know a thing or two about work ethics. When you get a deadline you meet them. half the patches get delayed by PGI, and of those that do actually make it to its actual patch date, promised content is missing. When trial mechs are supposed to rotate. they rotate

And you definitely don't make your boss force you into open beta.

Do you know anything about software development at all? I'm guessing that answer is also "no".

See this educational link for more information on the software development process.

Yes, in a thread where the OP used going for an HIV test as an analogy for game feedback, truly it is everyone else that was dumb.

Edit: Also, you got a very prompt dev response when two of them liked the second post in this thread.

woah woah that is not how to troll. Trolls don't respond to actual points in the thread. Devs do. and have.

can't even do that right

trolls don't have a position. No emotional investment in any one perspective. Because to actually have a point is to be scrutinizable.

Thread closed down, for all of you to cool down! I will decide if I open it up, after some cleaning, at a later time.
