However, it seems that this issue is getting addressed tomorrow and there's not really anyone to blame, so sit tight.

I just tried this from work, which appears slightly different than from at home, but still shows that massive ping spike at pnap.net:

To see where it starts going bad for you, run 'tracert www.mwomercs.com' from your command line in windows.

I played a game a few hours ago and it was a steady 113-115, just when it gets busy on the internet my latency to canada is all over the place. Maybe my provider cheaps out on their transatlantic contract, I dont know how those things go. I saw someone else from NL on yesterday night and he had a steady 95ms.

Bumping this to the top.
If what agentdavion says is true, would love to get some feedback from those that have been having this issue!

It's still that damn tinet-gw.customer.alter.net. I mean, just look at that jump from 7 to 8. I'm not sayin' Verizon isn't trying to fix it, but they sure haven't succeeded just yet.

That's actually pretty good for this traceroute, but is pretty early versus when I usually play. Within an hour it's going to be in the 180s again.
I looked up xe-4-3-0.tor10.ip4.tinet.net, and it appears to be located in Germany. I can't imagine this is normal or correct - why are my packets moving from Philadelphia, over the Atlantic, and then back again?

Yeah, same.
@Vedic-When I originally sent in a ticket to MWO support, I actually said the ping "is like being from Europe," and that my ping seems to be worse during European peak play time (round about now) and after those across the pond go to bed (well, the ones that play into the wee hours, anyway) around 9 EST, my ping magically goes back to 70ms instead of the cringeworthy 180 I have during the day.
So if it is ACTUALLY going to Europe, then back, a lot of things make sense. But why would it do this?

That's because the mwomercs servers don't accept ping requests, so it's normal.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge of networks like this can explain if this is Verizon or PGI's ISP's problem? It's not the router slowing us down per se, but the route we're taking to get to the server. All the nodes seem very reasonable in their ping times...for being 3000 miles away!
