Just had a match on Forest, guy calls his own team "nerds".

In an online video game about giant robots fighting in the far future in space.

Had a similar experience where an enemy mech walks out alone, is destroyed by concentrated fire almost immediately, and says, "F***ing nerd game...". It was magical.

I've got one better. Same scenario but the game was Star Trek Online.

But technically we're not in space yet... We're still stomping around on land.

Similar experience during closed beta, guy charges our front line all alone in the open and no AMS on his Atlas, he is obliterated by LRM fire and then has the audacity to scream in chat "LRM's ARE OVERPOWERED".

not really pot and kettle material but still amusing.

Had a similar one a week or two back.

Player flaming his own team, after being cored, about how badly they were playing, as they proceeded to win the match.

Yeah I get people like that all the time. Run off alone, die, complain that the rest of the team sucks then after the match ends be the only death on the team.

The planets are in space, we are on them, therefore we are also in space, therefore I am still technically right.

Then that means I am sorta kinda in space :D

I don't really like space though... Well, I would if I lived on a colony ship.

Preferably a really big one.

You can't be in space either though. Your location says "a place with no heatsinks", but space is the ultimate heatsink.

You may be existing inside a very small, snug-fitting pocket dimension. You should see if you can use hammerspace if you are.

The dimension of UAC Jams, probably. I haven't been getting very good chainfire rates for my last few matches....

Ahh, but our space is in a marble on a playground on land in another dimension.

This reminds me of another thing that causes amusement. Dude gets killed by LRMs or sniped by Gauss or PPCs or ACs or whatever, then yells on chat about how his killer was a "coward" and should have "come and faced him like a man". Or someone who gets killed by someone from behind because he didn't bother turning or maneuvering and has the same complaint about his opponent needed to "face him like a man".

Always makes me snicker when I see that.
