Don't freak out about beta.. Its really normal for invites to be sent out over a number of days even weeks. I would not be surprised if after the first 1000 invites they may do more as a stress test or to get a larger pool of testers

Who said that they need just 1 type of a tester? Maybe they want mainly players who don`t plan to buy package for example and see how many changed their mind after beta? Or both hardcore and newbies to see how both fare and how they perceive certain aspects of the game. I wouldn't assume that selecting "I`m the best hohoho" will give you better chances.
