Too bad everyone mourning this game tends to be unable to use punctuation, capitalization or line breaks.

2)Cry Engine is capable of massive maps yes, this is a valid issue.
3) they did communicate about the server shutdown, it's under the double xp weekend albeit not very well.
4) The land aspect is still allegedly in development, check out the community warfare info from way back when.
5) GL, HF.

Well, if you did any research or reading on the game, you wouldn't give yourself unrealistic expectations.
Why do so many people think this is going to be Battltech WoW style?

I don't know what world you live in, but ALL GAMING COMPANIES make games to make money, otherwise how would the developers support their living?
I think comparing MWO to Planetside 2 is unfair because Sony is a much larger development company (I think many multiples larger) and do you think they are not trying to line their wallets with overpriced Station Credits for gear that hardly changes game play, and all use the same model and just textured differently?
A more fair comparison would be World of Tanks, which is a very successful model. World Of Tanks did not have Tank Company warfare on a persistent map at launch. The in client chat is very spammy and has limited filtering options.
I agree with you that the game needs the clan warfare, and in client chat. However, I would like to see in game chat compared to popular MMOs like SWTOR with channels and filtering options. Be patient, as Russ always says, MWO is a living evolving thing. As revenue continues to stream in, they will continue to improve MWO. I think in a year or two your complaints will be patched out. This genre needs a game like MWO, because it gives the best of both worlds.
Those who are free loaders can play for free, and those of us who like to support this genre will continue to support the freeloaders and future development.

Everything in life costs money. Programmers work for money, not for free. So if you want the game to be better, post, pay, and make suggestions.

What they have right so far?
The IP. They picked a really nice IP to get, Mechwarrior,
Graphics. Except for the way they impliment night vision and the Frozen City Day map I like the look of the game.
Mechs. They seem to have a decent selection of Mechs for this point in the games development.
Stability. Fairly stable for a game in beta.
...
The rest?
Bad netcode.
Bad ECM implimentation.
Bad communication.
4 maps. Really?
Conquest mode is crap.
No collision.
Mechlab is being done better by third party players than by the developers.
No CW.
Matchmaker is BAD.
So.
They picked good IP. Got some decent graphics. Made 4 maps and have a decent selection of Mechs, and the game does not crash a lot.
What are they spending the rest of their time on.
Better communication would either allow us to understand the issues they are dealing with or inform us of the fact that they are in way over their head and will never get this game much better than it is now.
But they do not talk much. So we are left to guess. People with very little information tend to look at things negatively rather than positively. this is human nature.

I would quote but that would be ineffective.
I would multi quote but that would be LONG.
ECM.
Not just my opinion. ECM on fast lights is BAD,
Communications.
No hotkeys. No post game chat. No nothing. All we have in game is texting to All or team.
Maps
4 maps is to few. Everyone I know agrees with this.
Conquest Mode.
Ok. It is just my opinion. I could be wrong here.
Mechlab.
It is crappy. It is not just my opinion.
Tons and Crits is all you get for info. That is BAD.
It needs better descriptions. It NEEDS heat, damage and range numbers. That is what it should have had in closed beta at a minimum.
Matchmaker.
Lesser of two evils?
How about they just let us join in servers?
That would be better than what we have. Where is the downside there?

Yeah to date we only have combat mechanics. There is no actual game. Otherwise Doc would have been renegotiating Our Contract for better salvage, and I'd be working towards earning a place in the 10th Lyran Guard.

Maybe instead of crying you should go read the posts in the "command chair" section of the forums

C'mon... The Mechlab is full of useful info!
I mean, without it I would have never known that Medium Lasers do Medium Damage at Medium Range!
