to lower depth of field to 1 you'll have to set post processing to low.
The only silver lining I've found in this mess of blur. I really miss that fantastic looking game I was playing before September 3rd.

Why did i have to do this in skyrim, oblivion, mwo, metro (i think), Dark Souls (DSfix mod), Supreme Commander 2 and probably a whole bunch of other games, why can't the devs just make it easy for us =(

It's no gain for them to force us to buy new hardware. The latter sounds a lot more likely, but it's still unnecessary.
just add
Preset Options
with presets
Advanced Options
Post Processing, Physics, AA,Etc
Expert Options
All the stuff not in advanced options, including experimental settings (with warnings) like i would assume sunshafts to be (otherwise why wouldn't it be included).
All harm avoided, if people know an option is experimental/unstable beforehand, they should also know to disable it before they call it a bug.

disable film grain by setting post processing to low.
not sure on fov. need to test more, it's been a busy week, but given cfg isnt working fov probably isnt either, though the 2 matches i did dropped seemed to be fov 85 which is my cfg setting.

I have it at low, Film Grain is definitely not disabled. If I raise the Sharpness on my monitor, which I so desperately want to do, tiny swirling static is visible covering the screen. That definitely wasn't there before September 3rd patch using the Film Grain override.
FoV still seems to work from the user.cfg, but I'm not sure what else does or not.

Post processing setting seems to be partially working in that I don't have the god awful distance blur effect.
However I DO definitely see the film grain effect. I also see the "depth of field" option in my user.cfg file is having no effect as well.
I lost about 5 fps due to this option being forced on. Caustic valley seems to be the best map to test it on, it's particularly obvious there.
