Hello everyone, and here's a special wallpaper to celebrate the release of our newest Hero Mech, The Death's Knell!

This Mech excels at taking the fight to the enemy, and escaping before they can retaliate. Also, it looks quite snazzy, and has a cool name. What more could you ask for?

We hope you guys like it, and let us know what you think!

2560x1600
4800x900
5760x1080
5760x1200

Are you asking us what we think on the Wallpaper or the mech?

If your asking about the Mech

The Mech itself is a horrible blasphemy of hardpoints, 4E on a commando? Just bad bad bad. Give it 6-8 Energy hardpoints and then we might have something worth taking that will allow us to "DO" something before we die to Streaks. About the only thing going for it is it's color.

If your asking about the Wallpaper

Then I like it, though you would be better off zooming out with more landscape to give the mech some perspective and distance.

A spider jumping in mid air might make a nice wallpaper with all those jets blasting :P

I always thought the cockpit on these guys was cool. This helps to show it off.

I also suggest it should be firing an Alpha Strike - 4 lasers, not 3.

I like the paintjob - is it inspired by Tron?

Should've probably photoshopped the detail around the laser beams' origin. There's clearly visible jagged geometry 2d beam textures where they exit the lenses. Also, they are not centered properly.

I agree with previous...If im playing 8mans...wich I am you have to have ECM in the current build of the beta..If this mech doesnt have ECM I wont buy it as a light where I have 3 other..ecm choices...same reason I never run my founders atlas anymore since if I run an Atlas almost a nesesity to run a DDC. solution..nerf ECM please :)

I thought I liked it so I downloaded it and slapped it on my desktop. However, I realized I would prefer if the wallpapers released were done more like a creative bit of artwork rather than a screenshot of a 'Mech your pushing for money with an MWO logo slapped over it. So I had to replace it with this...

What more could I ask for? I would ask for an ECM or the following:

1. Make it so streaks can actually miss. I always laugh when I see streaks looping around a mech until it hits it. Sure streaks can home-in to the target but they should have inertia and not be able to turn instantly. Then having a mech that can do a quick anchor turn and potentially dodge unskillfully fired missles will make it useful. Until this is fixed, this mech is just pretty looking streak fodder and food for the ravens.

Like the paintjob. It pronounces the chassis details.
From art design point of view a real looker.

Looks kinda silly, will stick out like a sore thumb, will be highly overpriced, will die like all lights are dying against wildly overpowered and unfair SSRM boating Ravens and Commandoes.

Fix it.
