I don't count on ECM to save my bacon because you never know when someone will hit the "J" key.

it kill a average of 7 missile in 3 sec
the ams range should be increase to 450 m and should not fire trough wall and roof

I have it equipped on every mech I own that can. There are a LOT of missiles and you're not always snuggly warm in your ECM blanket. It can also help your vulnerable team mates from getting all their armor stripped off in a few seconds.

Thats why I would prefer that AMS would work against missiles even point blank range (IOW they should have less range, but faster reaction time against missiles).

Usually with two non-explosive weapons like a pair of PPCs or LL. Sometimes Ultra5's or AC10s if that best suits.
