Clearly, Catapults shouldn't be able to ride Atlases, since Atlases aren't stable platforms. However, it's freaking hilarious. Hopefully when they re-implement knockdowns, they'll take a pass at implementing Death From Above as well
Physics Exploit... Or Hilariousness?

Since I wasn't able to lock onto the cat until I got close (and died shortly thereafter), I can't say for sure. I believe that my targeting reticle turned red when I shot at him, but who knows if it ACTUALLY hit him.

Well, seeing how long he stayed up there, it was probably intentional.
If it actually gives him something approaching a "lagshield" or glitch-induced hitbox hiding, then I'd classify it as an exploit.
Especially when you consider that it'd be an unhittable 6x SRM6 catapult with a good field of fire being carried around on the toughest mech on the game. It's like a boomcat that has the extra HP of an atlas.
I do find it hillarious, but that doesn't mean that it can't be abused to provide a gameplay advantage.

This isn't even its final form.
