There have been multiple threads showing the hilarity that one can create when stacking one mech upon another and wading into battle Voltron style. I myself would LOVE to try this (I have an Atlas, and 2 friends I play with have Catapults with JJ's), but before I go off an form the Megazord I'd like to hear a clear and definite "Yes, this is a banable exploit," or a "No, it's fine, knock yourself out with Mecha Shiva."

So, can I (or we as a playerbase) get a yay or nay from a dev?

My gut instinct is telling me that it's probably not a good thing to try, but with how quiet the dev's have been on it in the face of the several posts, images and hilarious videos posted showing it I'm genuinely curious.

Thanks in advance!

-A hope filled potential Red Ranger.

Edit:

The only Dev post I could find relating to this topic is this:

It needs to be fixed.

I saw a streak cat riding on top of a 2D commando the other day, got the screen caps of it.

Nobody I've seen yet has said if it confers any actual advantage.
If it confers no advantage, then it's almost assuredly not bannable.

I wouldn't do it, eventually it will be considered an exploit once enough people do it. It causes so much rubberbanding that the mechs doing it are impossible to hit. For me it's like turning two mechs with more firepower into a single target not much unlike a Raven in terms of hit detection.

Have they explicitly said it is? No?

Then it's not.

The thread that got closed for name and shame said it is considered against the ideas of the game, but said it is not a hack and not a bannable offense. Frankly we should all smile when the other team does this, as your are slowing a streakcat to the crawl of an atlas. Thats a good thing.

I don't know about the Devs, but I most certainly consider "mechashiva" to be an exploit. The 'mech on top is completely invulnerable. When you stack a splatcat on top of a Jenner, it becomes an invincible splatcat which travels at 150 kph. Noooo, no exploit there. Hilarious? Oh yes. Cheating? Most definitely.Edit: You may see my name in the video of "mechashiva", getting blasted by the invincible high-speed splatcat. So I know first hand that THIS IS A CHEAT.

Oh I'm sure it's more of a hindrance than a help, but I just want to see the reaction's when a mech the size of a skyscraper comes lumbering over the hill shooting at your team.

EXCEPT if you had atempted this, you would know that anything moving more than 40 or 50 falls off the top. There is no base rushing atlases with ravens. Well you could, but you would limit the speed.

Repeat, there is no commando bussing assaults around the map. That does not work.

If the bottom mech is faster then I would say thats an advantage.

After 50 kph the top mech begins sliding off.
