I like it, certainly better than just watching numbers tick. Gives me more of a feeling of being a pilot of a giant robot, instead of "me" being the giant robot itself.

Noticed some problems with the new screens in some mechs. Some have same readout on multiple monitors. Some have 2 or more displays overlayed on each other (Auto Detect, Ammo, Armor)

thought it was a nice touch...what I'd like to see is the mechs dropping from the sky using boosters to slow down, or drop pods pre match before this startup sequence.

Love startups but I think it is just a little too quiet just before he starts it up. It'd be good to hear the wind howling, the rain to patter on the windshield etc. I started looking whether something was broken with my sound system during my first match post patch.

i liked the engine hum also, actually, the idle is engine music.. its not a hum.. ANyways since you hit us with logic, I t would be nice to hear the ambient weather.. wind.. whatnot... That takes it one step further.
wheres mah space weather??

Attention to details! I like it. I'm sure constructive suggestions are met with at least a consideration. I like this idea!

while i give the Death´s Knell a pass...

the start up sequence is just a great thing to have, thanks for this... watching a frozen image while counting down was getting old fast... now add weapon grouping to the mechlab and i´m a very very happy panda :)

looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

you just won the "i-don´t-know-sh**-about-mechwarrior" centuries-award... *slams head on the desk*

Love it! It would be great if she also gave the local time and ambient temperature, for old times sake :)

Mad Props to the Artist on this work! Brilliant! Get this kid a corner office, personal assistant, and Exec Gym pass Pronto!

My only complaint is where's the part about Ambient Temp? I mean OMG! I've waited 9 Months to find out the Temp outside and you denied me! I'm Kidding BTW.

I love the strartup sequence myself. It is hardly a waste of time, since it happens during the countdown, a time when you did nothing but watch the clock anyway. However, I miss knowing whether it is a Conquest or Assault map immediately. Before this patch, you knew the game mode as soon as the cockpit view came up, but now you have to wait until the countdown/startup sequesnce finishes before finding out. Not a big deal, but it does take away from the short pre-game window often used for minimal planning. Hard to make a plan when you don't know the mission.

love the new start-up sequence... anyone complaining about it should just be banned, done, finished... LOL

now let's clean up the pilot model... have the option for male or female pilot... and different clothing, suit options... not a priority obviously

nice work on this patch

Okay so I've only played a few games this patch, and those games were in a 6PPC Stalker, but I'm confused what the new override actually does. If I shutdown from firing my 6 PPCs and I hit override ....

What override used to do:
I power back up. If I'm above 100% heat, I take internals damage until I cool down to below 100%. If I fire again, I blow up.

What override does now:
Nothing? I confusedly try a few more times, along with powering up. Eventually I do power up but I'm not sure if it was automatic, or if I actually did something :P

Why they changed it is beyond me. It worked fine before, they just needed to fix the no HUG bug.

:P Hey first good job with this ingame animation...

:( but second - since this update i got lots of HUD Malfunctions and Graphic bugs. Before that update i got 1 or 2 within 50 rounds but now its like every other round with no particular connection to fired weapon, pushed button or position in the map when my HUD disapears. And yes i allredy tried to shut down and start up mannually - and by this time i am realy sitting in my cokpit like a real mechpilot and have no digital HUD to select a Target, see weaponstatus or map or Capture Point. I have to push Tab to see at least the status of the Cap points but the rest of the HUD ist then still not vissible. The voice tells me that with [R] i select a target "new target" but i just see mechs walking arround and the only thing that i can do is shoot at those mechs who shoot me - Pretty bad strategie if lots of atlas are walking arround

so what i ask is to repair this HUD Bug to how it worked before becose for me it went worse - happend in Stalker, Atlas and Raven so far.

Override now is push O BEFORE you shutdown, which prevents shut down, if you forget O you shut down for the damn duration.
Why make heat management that much more difficult. I'm going toe to toe in my Atlas performing a beautiful dance of explosions and lasers. Now in the middle of that I have to pre-emptively prepare for heat shutdown and reach ALLLLLLL the way over to O or take my hand off of the mouse.

The idea is good, sort of, but like most things on paper its doesn't translate all that well to reality.
Also, no hud bug still exists. If I forget in the heat of battle to overide before i shutdown, I have still been starting up without HUD.
