4 large lasers

pretty sure that isnt actually possible...
4xLL's =20 tons
2xDHS=2 tons

There isnt an engine small enough to fit on that.

This topic made me buy Mega Man. Do well in it also, 1 vs 3 killed a weak Jagermech and a Atlas with only half center torso gone.

I am thinking about running it with this loadout:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...f30053fca8718c2

so 4 med pulse, an XL210 and max armor.

Sounds about fine for me.
you could even shave off a ton of armor and add another DHS.

Yep really good build that is what I have in mine! He a real killer. Put cool shot and an air strike and he good to go!

If you run an XL 200 with ES and full FF you can pack on a PPC and 2 Medium Lasers.

I personally prefer an XL210 with 1LL and 3ML's. You get the most potential damage and speed while still being able to reach out and touch someone with your large laser at range. Here is the build...THE DEATH'S KNELL

Adopted this build, i think this is probably the most optimal selection. With speed tweak that one fast commando!!

I find the main reason to run TDK is because you love knife fighting other lights:

GOTTA GO FAST

You are the fastest light in the game, with extreme arm reach, turn really well and have minimal heat issues. You can outrun lrms (171kph with speed tweak) but you have ams just in case.

Playstyle: primarily scouting early game but also baiting enemy lights into unfavorable situations. You can death circle pretty much anything but streaks will kill you quickly so bring an ecm friend and enjoy shanking those pesky ER LL ravens!

I just started using an XL200, 1LL, 3SL. I like the heat and rof of the small lasers for shanking. Can run a little hot.

is this sarcasm because I was spec'ing one out today with intentions to get one and that is what I came up with for my play style using 4 MPL, 190XL (only cause I have a bunch of them), 4x DHS

Biggest engine, no ams, 4mls such a beast, definitely consider it one of the best lights ingame. Excellent damage output, excellent turn radius. Only struggles in cramped boulderish terrain and versus heavy streak builds.
Also can easily solo most heavies and assaults.

I have been playing with 240XL, FF, Endo, max armor, 4ML and 3 external DHS.
Not super high damage, but fun to run around at 171kph.
Also not sure what to do with the left over 0.5 tons and no open slots

A few months back, but still relevant:

(Someone made a comment that they hadn't seen a TDK in forever, so I jumped into mine and played a couple of matches; it went pretty well. Oh, and it's the standard 240XL+4ML build).

Ha, it is a crazy fun build. Won game for team 3v1, took out kit fox, awesome, and battle master with help of base turrets with a couple of minutes left on the game clock. 695 damage, 3 kills.

I used to run 240xl, 4-ml, recently switched over to 225xl er-ll, 4-spl, no regrets.

Where did you find the fifth energy slot? ;)

I guess you mean ERLL+3xSPL, and I might just have to try that build - it's good to have a bit of range in these poptarting times :)

If you wanted to do some scouting, 3mpl + 1tag.

Wish it had the missile hard point in the chest with the 4 E...but that might be greedy.

With the way the arms move and the speed I would say yes that would be greedy
