I voted Other, as a 99.99% pugger, I have only gotten annoyed enough to stop playing when I was trying to level my Raven 2x (on the Double xp weekend) (the laser one) what a nightmare, it was just loss after loss after loss, for 3 hours...

3 hours and I had enough, I spent my gxp and leveled it that way,
I had barley made 600,000 cbills, and gotten about 3500xp total.

Worst night playing this game ever.

I don't even know whether the other team is premade most of the time. Sometimes its obvious because they work with a spotter or its a bunch of lights who work together so well never break the ECM bubble while they pick the team apart one at a time. Most times the losses I have suffered are from PUGs on my own team who make mistakes...I probably contribute a fair amount on my part. You know, the non ECM lights who just need to run up ahead without support or the guys who love to walk into the open even though they are raining missles down. Just finished a match with a spider standing still trying to slug with a catapract. As long as I feel I contributed positively I don't mind so much anymore.

I've played roughly 1100 games since the Open Beta and much more in CB, since the OB start i play almost always in the solo queue (there were 20ish games while i taught my brother how to play in a team of 2).

If we talk about the Steamroll 0:8 games then i barely encounter them, even if my team tanks a humiliating loss i usually manage to get 1-2 kills as i hunt down anyone who wanders too far away from the main bulk and i usually play Conquest so it's not that hard to find someone alone.

With that said there was one day before the Conquest implementation when i had nothing to do (those days are too rare >.>), so i played a lot, after the 15th loss in a row i thought: "Damn one more loss and i'll go to sleep early..." In the next 3 hours of playing i couldn't get a single loss. :D

I push through till I get a win rather than walk away pissed off. My worse ever was two nights ago (patch night) when I started with a win... then had 5 massacres in a row where I had to try my hardest just to get a kill before dying. Next game was 2 kills, 6 assists, highest xp, highest damage so felt i could take a break then. :D

I win my battle half and half...... The greatest battles are when people listen to me. We usually end up winning 0 to 8.

Wow such a pro....how can my pugs win without you.....

I sort of agree with the rest but my god what an ego.

Copincidentally where I come from 0 vs 8 is a wipeout so glad you're not in the pugs I've been in (hopefully). :D

Asymmetric warfare is good practice, makes you learn how to be the best you can. So much the better when I get around to dropping with my 8 man team in 8v8's.

I drop PUG, 2-4 man premade and 8v8. I can manage to drop about the same amount of damage per match in any setting. K/D and W/L ratios aren't important, gaining experience piloting for consistent performance is.

Getting stomped by premades don't really bother me, because as a rule premade players are bunch of weaklings that can't win without three of their friends in superior mechs.

After the fifth stomp I get all ******** until I reach certain CBills or until I get to go to do something else (5-7 games), so I tend to be the suicidal light wich ironically never dies first (new PUGS I guess tend to get that privilege)

Voted other. While PUG stomps do occur there are not enough of them to even make me consider quitting. There are much bigger problems in the game that make me think of quitting but PUG stomping isn't one of them.

19 losses in a row until I happen to drop with a 4-man and a 3-man premades I just happen to be the odd pugger. I would lose 3 more after that win before calling it a night. I can't remember how many of those 22 losses were actually stomps though.

Oddly enough my K/D ratio went from a 1.96 to 1.95 so I must not have been doing all that bad given such a small decrease, albeit my W/L took a beating...

When I first started this game in open beta every match was a pug stomp for me, for two , three weeks until I learned to play better. Although my first match ended in a base cap with me taking no damage while following a Hunch back while I was in a trial hunch back.

The beatings shall continue until morale improves.

If you define lose it as getting angry / yelling at screen etc, my answer would be never. After about 3-5 stomps in a row, I quit the client and do something else. Sometimes I jump into a casual group but that's rare.

Matchmaker is borked and until they fix it and I'm getting stomped by people presumably at my own level, I doubt I'd care enough to get angry. My anger is usually directed at myself for doing stupid stuff and rarely at others in the game.

If you solo PUG, accept stomps as part of it. Otherwise, you shouldn't be solo PUGging.

Should it be a better experience for solo PUGs? Yes and I trust PGI will be doing stuff to make it better since solo PUGging is, from what I can tell, one of their game design considerations.

I can happily stomp PUGS all night thanks, it would be nice if a few of them tried to pick up some skills and offer a challenge though.

ATM I am looking after my sick wife so I tend to be playing a gme or two every hour so premades are not an option for me.

Last night I played about 12 games, I came top dmg in most of them and lost every single one, I am not saying we faced a premade all the time but I know for sure about 7 of them were premades.

I play MWO less and less now, my premium time is about to expire and I won;t be renewing it until we have a queue system that ensures me that the game will be as fair and balanced as possible, that to me means a solo queue.

I can play all day in pug and not lose my cool.

I find the randomness of pug to be awesome.

Jeezas facking christ, how hard is to say to someone in chat in first game you play: 'can I add you? lets drop together.' ??!

For some reason out of 20 games I played on a new free test account with some random dude in a group of 2, only 1-2 were against good 4 men on an enemy team.

Why your r3tardness and lack of communication should be a fault of the game?! Get some friends and play with them, it's not that hard, stupid.

Hello, did you notice this thread if for pugs???

And there it is! That premade elitism (excellent examples here) ignore that all the polls in this forum say that 50% of the people pug only, 25% premade only and the rest do both, that adds up to a vast majority are pugs, not to mention most pugs are casual players and will never come to these forums to vote. If its strictly a team game then don’t allow pugging!!!! If your not in a premade then you cant play, Ya that would really work. . . . . What premades don’t get is that its chasing off new players, ALLOT!!!

Why don’t you guys just say “ I suck at 8 man but can stomp new people all day long and chase them away from this game, am I cool or what?”

And I don’t have a problem with premades (except elitists), just give pugs our own lobby!! I might some day (when I get time and find a team lacking drama) join a premade, but not all the time, I just don’t want to, and the elitist here sure don’t make me want to!!!! Pugging in balanced games should be an option.

As for the question, This is why I came to the forums tonight, after 5 stompings in a row the fun was sucked right out. I need an extra keyboard to hit, that is 8 of us died and maybe 2 of them. So I came to the forums hoping to see some glimmer of hope about MM for pugs.

I have been keeping track in 10 games lots, not about my wins but the outcome, I do not consider when my team stomps the other team a fun game. Results so far? 6 out of 10 games end in stomps (kills 8-2 or worse) add about 1 quick cap, and 1 just uneventful game and about 2 out of 10 games of good entertaining fights. I do not consider these good numbers, this is a game, I am playing to be entertained, and 20% of the time does not cut it. Pretty much anecdotal evidence but fact is, this game is not fun any more. As long as its a balanced game and it was a good fight, win or loose, its entertaining.

What I don’t get is if pugging is totally random and we take premades out of the equation, then puggers should be winning around 50% of there games.

Another thing I have noticed is the change in game play depending on when you play, I think the premades are less likely to be out at certain times of the day or night.
