Makes perfect sense, and there's room for both philosophies. Right up to the part where you say Lone Wolves won't care which faction they fight for. As far as I'm concerned (from a meta perspective) I want no House affiliation, I'm a sellsword...a Ronin of the mech age...that's what I do. I'll decide what house or Corp gets my services in the factional warfare part of the meta game, and that's my take on the the Lone Wolf game.

At their best, Lone Wolves aren't filler. At their best Lone Wolves are force multipliers.

Ok i see your perspective, Mercs sell their sword to whoever bids the most, then are loyal as long as loyalty is returned most often. But since the game will likely fill from House then Mercs then Lone Wolves you should be willing to admit you don't get a choice of which side you go to but will go to whichever side has room for you randomly.

Given that premades are less than 25% of players I don't know if 'filler' is the right term but the concept is there.

Spreading lies as fact doesnt help things.

Since I am currently a PUG, but not new to team play (heck I am admin on a few servers) I will say this....

1. Without a functioning in game VOIP, most will not communicate, even some of the simplest FREE games like Americas Army 3 have it and it does wonders for the new players.

2. Admit that you all were PUGs once and some of us will eventually find a home (like you did), but usually its a result of polite, helpfull veterens (or clan members) that do it, not complainers or haters. When you see playstyle that you like, complement it and invite them in.

3. Its a game, new people will always be present and people will be who they are, just be nice and help them learn the ropes, some will listen, some won't. Just remember that you'll live to play another day.

Some like me, may remain PUGs for a while till the game comes out of Beta and we find a clan that seems to match our playstyle. I don't want to invest heavily in something that I may not like. Like other games, when I do invest I stay, I do my best, play with my teammates, and have fun.

Signed: PUG still shopping for a home.

And i forgot to add, lonewolfs are fun in 2 regards, they get attention of the other team, and they sometimes can be really good players. Many a match I have 3+ kills......but I do my best to help.

Quicksilverc5... Right now you are a PUG. but when factions get implemented will you PUG as a FedSon? Cause as I understand it, You would be placed in a Drop before Me, a Merc, when the Drop is for The FedCom.

Op, the classic example of the loud minority. Keep shouting into the wind.

Ok so most folks in the poll appear to play PUG matches, so let us have our own queue system whats wrong with that. Keep the Premade system in place if you want, I dont see a problem with having both options.

Seems very unlikely given what the Devs have said about how the 12v12 matches are going to be populated. At this time, all I'm hoping for is Phase 3 MM solves or drastically reduces the roflstomping.
