I agree with you about frequency, Team Leader, though my solution to that, would be to have each available only for a limited time (3 months, mebbe?) and once gone, they're gone. As it is now, too darn many Yen Los and Ilyas running around.

Anyone notice that the 25 ton light mech is named "Deaths Knell" but the 80 ton Assault mech is called "Pretty Baby"? You'd think a hero assault mech would get a brutal name...

I really luuuurrrve the custom paint job on this mech, unfortunately the improvement to the Awsome chassis is only superficial.

What I currently see is a 8V with a larger engine and an extremely aggressive paint job (do not really want to draw even more attention when I take my AWS's for a walk).

They obviously picked it because they lack cohesive paint scheme's. They could at least add flavor on these 'diggin' deep Hero Mech' series -> Death's Knell and Pretty Baby

Add some flavor PGI, House Davion symbol, and Chisholm's Raider symbols, hell give it a unit number

Hmm that's going to cost a bit for an Awesome.. I don't know, I'll need to see better how the hardpoints are but I guess I'll stick with my AWM-9M

I think the name is hilarious; it's obviously to be ironic since the mech is viciously scary looking.

Doubt I'll buy it though, since Awesomes are...not so awesome.

well, 8V with extra missile hardpoint(s) in the left arm. curious what if anything else....

even with the current nerf,. would laugh my buns off if they stuck JJs on this thing....

I love the paint job as well - but its like begging for attention and personally I already get enough, maybe you like being blown to smithereens immediately or sth. In that case - go for it !

I love the story behind it, and love the paint job just because it is NOT pretty at all, thus it is very fitting. I also really like my AWE 8R and WANT this ugly mother. But...not sure I can justify spending that much cash for it, after finally breaking down and buying a Flame.

Sadly, I'm divided on this mech.

On one hand, I want it for the collection.

On the other, the name brings to mind a certain Louis Malle film, with a very young Brooke Shields. The whole chains and bondage theme causes me to get a bit queasy.
