Am I in a Catapult while facing the enemy?
Am I trying to look over a ridge?
Is my angular velocity to the enemy mech 0 rads/sec?
The other 10% I consider a somewhat lucky shot and will sometimes say "nice head shot" in chat.

I didn't get a chance to tell him it was a nice shot, I just ******* about it.

I never said I *only* had 4 PPCs. I've killed quite a few mechs with the SRMs on the mech as well. I can do 2 volleys with the PPCs and not shut down, so I know that if I miss I can still back out. Plus he was busy, fully focused on the hunchie he was circling.
Yes, he was moving that slow, because he was a poor player. You really think he would have the proper situational awareness if he doesn't even know that speed is his best defense? Nah, he was a poor pilot.
He was the one who started crying about his "clan" though that might all be B.S.
As for the accusations, I've never needed, never want an aimbot. My actual preferred mech is a gaussapult, and so far have 52 running Jenner kills in it. Practice makes perfect and gives skill. Who the heck needs an aimbot then?

Why fire the PPCs and take the heat when you are inside 90m? The gauss alone should have been adequate.

he said erppc, those don't have a minimum range. And one gauss round would do 15 dmg, not even enough to chew through armor (18) let alone take out the internals (another 15 points).

Quite possible that they exist, but the most likely scenario is that your opponent is just a good shot.
If MW:O were as rife with hacks as the Arma2 mod DayZ, I'd understand some of the "OMG HAX" accusations since in that game, it's actually a very plausible scenario. :/
Probably why I play more MW:O than I do DayZ

Or, more simply put: "To be bloody damn sure he's dead".

Um, HBK's cap out at 92.7kph with speed tweak using the heaviest engine which is a 260 (STD/XL). Unless off course you're talking during CB.

Honestly, just today I snuck up on a hunchback, in an atlas and cored him in two salvos, shot straight into his back (even for a Guy like me, aiming is easy when your target is just standing there like an *****). Some people are just terrible, and a portion of those just don't want to admit it. They'd rather invent fantasy hackers that can cheat at a game with amazing bots, rather then say to themselves, "Holy ****! I keep dying because I am terrible!"

...
PGI is using the Crysis engine, one of the most hacked engines around.
Yes, there are aimbots for it, and some have already been modified for use with this game.
As netcode improves, so will the use of aimbot as it will as a matter of course become more effective.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't say they didn't exist then, yeah?
Pardon me for not being one of those guys with a huge paranoia regarding a few hacks in a game that really don't seem that prevalent and/or hugely game breaking for the moment.
If they get out of hand and become exceptionally noticeable, then my tune will change. Until then I'll continue to assume that most of the whining about hacks is from people that are just mad they got outplayed.

Possibly right now a majority of it is that.
However, when you take a headshot immediately upon your head cresting a hill, or turning a corner, then you see 3 or 4 team mates die via head shot all from the same guass carrying mech from 1200+ meters away... Well, suspicions will be raised.

I had my cockpit shot out while at a full run 130 kph over rough terrain and then had the good luck to warp into the next victim who died in seconds and the next and the next. I got to watch 4 successive cockpit shots about 5-6 seconds apart all from a single opponent as my team died in about 20-25 seconds.
But we players are not good policemen. The keepers of the ban hammer could easily find inhuman behavior with just a little bit of game statistics. Store the source and destination movement and facing vectors as well as the weapon type and range. Inhuman behavior would rise to the top like foam on a latte. But we would never know that it is happening. It could be ongoing right now. I'd guess they are already doing something because rampant cheating kills entire franchises and what I'm seeing is an near zero amount of "hinky" games.
