seamlessly integrated voice comms should be considered the STANDARD normal method of communication in a game like this.

If games from the 90s had integrated voice comms there is absolutely no reason this should be acceptable.

As for worrying about other high priority things being implemented there really isn't anything higher in priority than making sure the core of your game works well.

communication in a TEAM based game should be at the very top of that priority list.

They incorrectly assumed that the players attracted to this game could figure out 3rd party TS software. They were obviously mistaken....by a factor of 9000.

I'm not i do a large mix of pugging 4 manning and 8 manning.

of the lot 4 manning is the least satisfying because rolling pugs with a 4 man is disgustingly easy.

even soloing in the pug queue i've had matches where i've rolled the entire enemy team doing 1500 damage getting 7-8 kills.

Pugs desperately need better communication tools.

it should be one of the top priorities right now.

Retaining new players needs to be at the top of their list right.

*Although tbh I would love to get some actual new maps that aren't just a reskin.*


Educate PUGS about the ability to use TS and they may improve their gaming experience in other games as well.

Teach a man to fish and all that jazz.

The problem is pugs are refusing to learn to fish to use your analogy and in all honesty they shouldn't have to. integrated voice comms should be the standard not a nice extra.

Lone Wolf PUG players will always find a communal excuse as to why they get stomped.

Split them up. Give them their own ques. Part them by weight, sex and hairstyle, they'll still moan about a game feature which "unfairly" makes them lose.

well I'm all for playing against better players the problem is the game doesn't have that huge a pool of players that it can shake off large amounts of people leaving Elo is going to average things out to a 50-50 win/loss if implemented correctly.

Most people are NOT going to enjoy that. I personally can't wait.

Well each and every organized team or group of players would disagree with you....in every game. I can't think of any team effort that relies on the comms in whatever game they are playing over 3rd party Team Speak Servers.

If anything it serves as a better way to recruit people into your group AWAY from crappy game voice comms.

So here we are people. Get on 3rd party voice comms and we can A/S/L a bit.

Bud, you probably won't even be here 2-3 months from now because you'll be distracted by a new Barbie Sims game or something equally as engaging for your gamer demographic.

The last time i got a group together for an 8 man we managed two games in a hour, before the group fell apart. There were three teams playing at the time and we were rotated between the two of them after failing to find a game 5 times in a row at the end the group splintered.

Oh look another thread where somebody PUGs and just 'knows' when he gets stomped it's because the other team has a pre-made.

Seriously, do you have any evidence as to the make up of the other team other then conjecture? Because the fact the other team has an ECM Raven and a 6 PPC Stalker doesn't mean a thing.

The games been in Open Beta for four months now, people have built up enough cash to spec more then one mech by now.

I care less about my stats than the pre-mades i stomp while I am PUGging.

Why? Because 4-man is EZ snooze mode and rots your skills...

remember in 8-man you da PUG!

you forgot the "flightsuite" since real mw pilots just use boxershorts in their cockpit ! YAY !

By the way... you should not talk about pug/lonewolf in generall ^^.
Iam a lonewolf/pug.. i DO USE TS.. but not for MW ( i have more as 1 reason why not ).. i dont blame all the time premades that i did lose a match. 90% of the time i do blame those 5 guys in my team who aren´t able to do atleast 200 damage with their mechs.


IMO there should be voip ( i wouldn´t use it ) ... but for a teamgame like MW;O in 2012/13 it should be standard.
On the other hand.. this game is so broken... they should fix other stuff first and fix the pug/premade problem with the MM ( tho i see there problems too ).

so all over i could care less... since i did stop playing because theres nothing else to do as to rage over bugs / bad players on 4 different maps all day long. I will see you all here... or after some patches ingame again :)

I've been doing mostly PUGS the last while. I think I'm floating around 1.25. Worked up from .65 after grinding my chosen builds up and not really caring how I walked away from the matches.

The thing that is annoying about Teamspeak is waiting for the team to get ready, having people drop out, etc. If it were integrated into the game (as it should be), then at least there is the option for EVERYONE to immediately have voice comms. Because I use TS and will pug frequently too, I see both sides of it. I really don't see why ingame VOIP isn't there. Pugs will still be at a disadvantage because teams can balance their mech loadouts, but it will be a lot better. On days that I have very limited time (which is a lot of the time), I will pug just to get games in and keep my skills up. Did 8 mans last night, and it took an hour to get two rounds in due to everyone customizing, trying to get that 8th person, etc. I am patiently awaiting the day we get into this century and have VOIP ingame, but it is frustrating in the short term.

Yes I am in a premade constantly stomping pugs. it happens any one claiming otherwise is full of crap.
