Good day to all.

My system is: AMD A10-5800K, 8Gb 2133 RAM, win7 x64, catalyst 13.1
And i can't run MWO without missed textures and models.
Its look like on screenshot
Posted Image
The same problem i have on my old system P4 3.2Ghz, 4Gb ddr2 400 mhz, and ASUS AH3650, Vista x86.

Maybe i have wrong video driver? But afaik catayst 13.1 is the last.

What can it be, and how can i resolve this?

Thank You

Your using the APU's onboard graphics aren't you? There's your reason. Get a proper video card.

imho its a bug
game on onboard graphic can lag and freez, but textures & objects should be visible
i'll test crysis 2 now, its on the same engine like a mwo

Crysis 2 works fine on A10, so mwo must.

Crysis 2 is a little different than MWO, since MWO can only run in CPU-hogging DX9, but nevertheless, the GPU in that APU should be fine. You won't be rocking 60fps on high, but that game should easily be reasonably smooth on lower settings, and should certainly at least render correctly.

No, the speed of your hardware is definitely not your problem here. I realize this is painfully obvious, but just to make sure all bases are covered, you did try re-installing MWO, and making sure your DX9 was fully up to date, right?

Right, i have install MWO on the "fresh", "naked" win7, and DX is version 11 now. Have only 2 games now - MWO and Crysis 2.

I'm waiting now for support answer.
Maybe they can resolve this in next patch.

Well keep in mind that MWO is not a DX11 game, so you need to keep your DX9 files up to date, which is a separate matter. When you first run the game installer, it gives you the option to do that.

I doubt it's the issue, but again, this is just keeping all our bases covered.

Download the updater here, and just give it a run:

I wouldn't be surprised if, for whatever it counts for, you DX9 files weren't up to date. I don't believe they would be on a fresh Windows 7 install.

I use an A10 5800K and play MW:O at 20+ FPS on all medium. So I'd have to say this is a bug, not your APU. And like Catamount said this game is DX9, not 11. Try getting DX9 and see if that changes anything.

I see someone stuck thier foot in thier mouth. According to the review I saw before posting, the 5800k with it's IGP only gets 23 fps at 1080p in Crysis 2, and we all know Crysis 2 has better performance than MW:O with the same hardware.

That why I suggested it was the APU's onboard graphics.

So you're not ignorant, you just don't speak from personal experience, fine.

What I'm NOT sure is how you go from seeing that a Trinity APU can get 20+ fps in Cry Engine and then say that it would have the OPs issues. Am I wrong, or did you just "decide" that despite knowing his APU can play this game at 20+ fps would... somehow... not load all those textures? Is that what ye thought? Really?

That's friggin hilarious considering the table you used as proof says it would do otherwise - IE better than the OP describes. Might want to rethink how ye use your facts... they're not meant to be used like a drunk man uses lamp posts... for support, rather than for illumination.

Point of interest on that benchmark, Barbaric: that framerate is from the game running on high (granted, without AF/AA). I don't think anyone claimed an APU would net good performance in MWO on high, but it should do just find on lower settings. At low/med, this game will probably CPU bottleneck more often than GPU bottleneck.

If my CPU usage is any indication it doesn't. Although I'm not entirely sure that's the indicator or not.

And no, I myself and no one else here have ever said anything other than: APUs aren't meant to be high performance, their just to let ye play the game minus eye candy for dirt cheap. Seems some people skip these facts just so they can go straight to bashing on equipment they hate whether or not they actually have any relevance. Usually people who are so insecure that they have to sneer at and deride anything lower price than theirs.

It isn't, unfortunately. The only way to spot a CPU bottleneck is to see what happens when you eliminate the GPU as a factor. Basically, play at minimum settings at 1024x768 and you'll see what a CPU-bound game looks like; on my 3570k it means highs in the 200s, lows in the 40s (yes, 40s), and averages in the high 60s, according to my various fraps benchmark runs. Since that's the best my CPU can do, I know that no matter how fast my GPU can run the game, that's what it's limited to.
