I think it at least needed jump jets, and maybe, perhaps ECM. It's got a great paintjob, but its underwhelming.

It's just so blah and outclassed by any other light mech

Sounds like you want the Spider 5D with 3 medium lasers, jump jets and ECM.

I am surprised the Death's Knell does not have ECM and at least 1 missle slot if not two. The other commandos all had at least one missle slot. A friend of mine did not buy because no missles and ECM so the 2D is just better right now.

Nice to see another Clan Jade Falcon Fan ^_^

It looks very bland unless you can fit large lasers as you upgrade the structure and perhaps FF armor (lots of space due to few weapon slots).

But Im not going to spend MC trying to figure it out. Sorry. ^_^

well seeing as it has normal structure and that a LL only take up 5 ton (compared to the 4 from the MPL) so you need to get two extra tones out of it to be able to fit a pair of LL.

I just bought one, and although they are really nice. I agree with everyone else. I would appreciate it (especially cause I spent real money on it) if there was just something a little more special. Maybe one missile hardpoint so you could fit on streak into it, to match when you get stuck against a raven or Commander 2D. It hardly does a lot of damage, so a missile slot with enough crit space for an SRM 2 or SSRM 2 Would be really appreciated

Just a minor Glitch on the Death's Knell.

Maximum Engine size is still at 210, should be 215 (8.6*25=215, 1.4*175=245).

Still,

I'm loving it right now. I would also love some JJs but we can't have everything, can we? As regards its lack of ECM, I honestly don't mind. I dodge missiles the same way I do in my heavies/mediums: hide somewhere (Atlai make effective hiding places)

Although, me and my friend noticed that the heat sink display and ammo display are on the same screen in the top right, overlapping each other. It's trippy.

It's not faster, it's not tougher, it has no specialized features.

It's a COM-1B that's traded it's torso mounted missile rack for another arm mounted energy.

It's very very lackluster

ECM is not AMS, LTP.

I think he was referring to ECM's ability to block missile locks. He is saying he doesn't need it, because he is good at using cover.

Bought it, tried it, tweaked it, dumped it.

It needs something to make it somewhat special - as its currently the worst commando varient due to the lack of either/both ECM or streaks.

Weapon hardpoints are fine (it is what it is - an all energy commando) - but it needs ECM and/or double AMS to give it any kind of niche / appeal - as I can't think of anything else it could get...

Right now, you'll get more C-bills due to increased kills/damage done in a 3xstreak ECM 2D than you ever will in the Deaths Knell - removing the only benefit of running it.

Its a shame really, as it looks a lot like Megaman, and Megaman is awesome.
