I keep getting this error,

There was an error loading the patcher carousel. Please try again later.
If the problem persists, please report the problem to MWOMercs.com.

Can someone get back to me on a fix or solution, it has been going on for a couple of days now every time I try and boot up the program.

Is there any point in submitting this when it hasn't been updated with the crash?
ie my crash was dated 9/2 but date on the crashdump is 8/2.

I am only getting about 60% full drops without lockup needing Taskbar to cancel.

My shaders folder has only a cache, then D3D9, then CGVShaders and CGPShaders - so no temp folder ... should it?

Desparately seeking solution!!!!

Correct, delete the D3D9 folder.

hm... for me it is working...played for 6 hours now, only 1 freeze, deleted the folder again.

Renamed the temp folder, the game created a new one upon launching. Result: first game I drop in locks up.

Been having this game freeze issue in 1 out of 2.5 games now. It's unplayable. I concur on the guy who asked for a patch rollback. After getting the black screen of death issue, this is the 2nd time this game got me fed up with it. I know it's a beta, still I bought the founders pack and find that we are entitled to quality support for this product. Going to sit this release out (again) until the game becomes playable.

Crashing after clicking "exit match" at end of game and occasionally freeze up a during match.

Well, my game starts crashing/freezing on a regular basis now (increased in frequency, the longer one plays but rebooting the system does not help in avoiding this bottleneck ... crashes/freezing becomes more and more frequent), no changes were made compared to the previously patched version and the crashes always occur during battle, independant of the scenario or type of mission and sudden, so that it cannot be predicted when the next crash/freezing will occur. I hope that this can be rectified soon as - in spite of all the great new additions that enhance the gamplay - MWO will hardly be playable and, if this problem will be prolonged my prediction is that people will stop playing the game.

Fix the damn game, it crashes every 3 matches and I have to restart and select match type to avoid that ******** conquest mode.

It gets old.

Before the last big patch it was a nightmare. Constant crashes and freezes. On top of that weird texture errors.

Big patch came and all was fixed. All errors were gone, game ran perfectly with no problems whatsoever.

Now, with the most recent big patch: Total nightmare once again. Game freezes with graphics driver crash in middle of match, game crashes, textures missing and so on and so on.

And no, the problem is not on my end. I reinstalled it two times completely just to make sure and all my drivers were unchanged the first two times, then completely reinstalled for the latest attempt, despite no changes being done to their versions.

Why do you completely break the game with every second patch?

After the latest patch and Nvidia drivers update to the latest beta (313.96), the game started behaving oddly. Once per day, the game may hang only visually (everything else keeps going on), and I can press ALT+TAB twice to resolve the problem and go on playing. Also, when I target enemies, they may appear as if in front of me with their distance not changing; even though they are moving somewhere behind me.

After 4th Feb. client stops with Freezed or Black screen every 4-10 games.

No error message. UI freezes during loading screen for new maps. Game must be killed via process e

Ive since narrowed that this _only_ happens on Caustic and no other map. 100% of the time on caustic. i havent been able to load the map since the feb 5 patch.

Frequent crashes as the end of game score screen is clearing before returning to main screen. Happens 1 in 3 or 4 games. Can often be cleared from Task Manager which shows MWO as "not responding" and allows me to shut down MOW. Several times I could not bring up Task Manager and had to do a hardware reset/reboot.

Same issue for me, client locks up, sound loops, have to ctrl alt del and kill it in task manager as it is totally unresponsive.

New Bug for me this Patch only. The game freezes as soon as weapons are fired if Paticles are set higher than Low. I have been running the game with Particles set to medium or high prior to this patch.

Nvidia 550 TI, current drivers. Onboard Realtek soundcard.

Sometimes I can Alt-Tab back into the game, but my Mech is gone by then.

Lowering the settings made the problem less frequent for me, but didn't fix it.

Seems to be the same issue with my system, with a gtx 560ti and 8Gb RAM (1680x1050 resolution), prior to this patch the game was pretty stable, save the memory leak after a dozen of successive matches.

I run the game with custom settings, medium and high settings and postAA on. Before I never experienced crashes, except a RTD after about ten matches, but now the game freeze in a middle of a fight, I presume the particle amount is related as each time it was during a very close brawl in my spider/Atlas.

Only MWO client froze, allowing me to kill the process (previously that froze the whole system), but that was very annoying.
When that issue happen, the client was using more than 1 Gb of RAM.


Lowering graphical settings (to low) seems to work until now.

For further informations, I was using the Nvidia panel to up the MSAA to 8x CSAA, and force some transparency antialiasing (4x supersampling)...
Maybe that was too much ^^

Ok, someone else mentioned this fix and it has helped a lot for me with this problem:


as soon as you enter a match and the animation starts for mech start up, Alt + Tab out and wait 15 seconds (you miss nothing)

click MWO icon at bottom of screen after the short wait and play game normally.

This has made the game playable for me once again. Although it doesn't have a 100% success rate, it has eliminated around 95% of the times the game locks up. I would also restart my client every 10+ matches to help.


Hope this helps some of you having the same problem.
