It seems like all the mech colours are now much brighter.
EDIT:
I like the new paint and camo system, but it is all just way overpriced. Also, i really can't see any reason why certain colours would cost more than others. Who chooses which colours are more valuable ?

Sure you can use it on other variants but even the old system was better than this

They said they would make money this way from the very beginning. They need to make money to make this game last. This is way better than some pay to win ****, since no one really needs a colour to rock this game.
Fine by me.

1) Its almost impossible for me to see mechs on the mini-map let alone make out their facing.
2) Its _VERY_ hard to read the text now. Its blurred and blends with the background to easily.
Just to be clear, the new _BLUE_ text was a very bad idea and I have no idea how your team thought it was ok.

2. "Unlocked" needs to be the TOP category, not the bottom one.
3. Camo needs to be unlocked for ALL 'Mechs for a cost. That cost should also be reasonable. $2-4.

Then I found out that crap about the phranken-pattern and how it now cost about 4-5 times as much as before, but I didn't buy it since I consider everything to be overpriced anyway... guess I was right not putting any real money into those patterns after all...
While surprisingly the pattern-prices seemed somewhat reasonable them being only available on a single variant made me clench my teeth a bit and colors where ridiculously overpriced, but I kinda saw that coming.
However, what did they do then?!? They painted my mechs in a green that makes them glow like an irradiated Ghoul that just escaped from FO3 and makes you wonder if your enemies will be able to track you down by a trail of snot, and the only way to get rid of it is to buy either otherwise glowy colors for CBills or actually put real money into a more sensible CAMO...
You see, I was always a little upset that there wasn't at last even a single basic black, white or grey amongst the basic colors, and one would figure that with a total of 100+ colors to chose from, they would have extended the basic pallet by one or two as well, but they didn't...
Up until now, I didn't really mind, because those basic colors looked alright, not special, but at least it was similar to the environment and you didn't look like irradiated snot!
But now..... Come on?!? SRSLY?!?

250MC Colors:
18 x 250 = 4500MC
500MC Colors:
48 x 500 = 24000MC
1000MC Colors:
54 x 1000 = 54000MC
For a grand total of 82500MC, that is just on colors alone, and that is only using the 3 major headings (eg: Standard, Premium, and Camo). I did not do a thorough look to see if there were any other colors available so this is just a rough estimate of costs.
If you were to only buy 25000MC packages this would be equal to $400.00, I think the cash grab has officially begun

250MC Colors:
18 x 250 = 4500MC
EDIT: The 250MC colors are currently the one's on sale from 500MC meaning after the sale it will be equivalent to another 4500MC
500MC Colors:
48 x 500 = 24000MC
1000MC Colors:
54 x 1000 = 54000MC
For a grand total of 87000MC (without any sale discount), that is just on colors alone, and that is only using the 3 major headings (eg: Standard, Premium, and Camo). I did not do a thorough look to see if there were any other colors available so this is just a rough estimate of costs.

If anyone has the exact total cost for MC paints please feel free to update me and i will change the post accordingly, do not include Camo Patterns

Honestly, the prices are fine. I only plan on running cammo on 2-3 Mech Types. The colors at 1K a pop are a bit more than I'd like, BUT I'm only buying the discounted colors at the moment and holding out for a "sale".

One suggestion I have is allowing us to purchase color's without having to place them on a mech. If I want six camo color's, I would prefer not to paint a mech twice over to do so. More of a fluidity thing but helpful none the less.
Thanks again.

Not any more, u took away my camo and retaking it will cost me 4 times as much, so thats where i break.
We have been discussing this in a group of then players, half of them founders, playing almost every day and we argued since the start about the founders packages pricing and the add time and the mech bays and the cockpit items, but every one paid around 100-200 bucks till the start, atleast double the money we´d pay for an other game...because we really like it and we´d like to support it.
But today we had to agree that we are getting ripped to the bone for things not worth it and i´m sure that this pricing strategy will hit u in the back like a AC20.
People will start to feel uncomfortable and taken for a ride and will stop paying money, just like us...and this will again lead to lots of green mechs stumbling around on the field, taking much of the atmosphere out of the game.
We are also developers, most of us developing games as well and we all know the pressure of sales and marketing, because you did great revenues in the last months and thats good, but if you are going to keep that behavior you will kill your user basis before release. For gods sake it´s paintings on virtual constructs!
Please read the posts and feedbacks and get serious before no one of us spends a single buck any more... We want this great game to carry on.

There are also C-bill only colors so you're not totally up **** creak if you're to cheap or too poor, or too disgruntled.
