Yeah seriously man. This is f'ing unethical. PGI is run by some sleazy dirtbags. This is filthy.

I don't really even care about painting my mechs, but I am shocked with the forced refund and price raise.

I imagine some people purchased (just) enough MC to paint what they wanted and the refund leaves them having to buy more to get back the stuff they already bought.

Extremely positive. I made you something oldschool and cool for the occasion.

$17 to apply the Phranken skin to a mech?

Sure, at that price it unlocks the skin for all variants of that mech and unlocks the colours for all time but $17? Are you kidding?

I've lost all respect for MWO's pricing policy and god knows, I've defended you guys enough in the past. Combined with the usability nightmare of the new screens and the horrible new IFF colours, this patch has seriously dented my confidence in you guys. My desire to play has never been this low, not even when you first announced open beta (the one you postponed because the game was in such a shocking state).

A little dramatic? You can do the same for 75 MC one time Pattern plus some basic colors for Cbills. No one is making you take all premium colors and perma camo.

-k

That's not the point it was 750MC before to get that exact same thing. So what if you can use the colours on other mechs but at 3000MC it is a bit too far.

You get the skin itself for all mechs of that type. So if you it on an atlas, you can put it on any atlas you own now, and forever.

You buy all the colors, too, and they're universal to all mechs. Before this, I had some white mechs. That was a 1k MC upgrade.

Now I have bought white once, and can put it on any mech.

I believe the way the change was implemented was incredibly shonky.

I didn't want a refund, I wanted to keep the paint job.

So why as an act of good faith didn't PGI let people keep their original paint and treat it as single use?

Now that would be a good way for them to handle the situation! ;)

1250 mc just to unlock a pattern for my mechs, no thanks PGI I'll stick to these single uses since I don't have over 10 mechs of the same type to make them count.

Wonder who is going to buy this just to use on a handful of mechs :/

Because it was a three colors, and if you don't remember what your three colors were, well...

As mentioned in this thread they need to sort out the gunmetal colour on the PC Gamer skin. It's bloody flesh tone wtf!

people need to underestand

PGI's old one time paint system was not a mistake. or a bug, or even an oversight.
It was intentional, to gouge money from the players.

So with this new system, they had to raise the prices 4x. to make up for the money they would have made by making us rebuy skins with the old system.

Negative, and purely due to the pricing.

Please improve the quality of your poll options in the future so we can differentiate between "Negative, I don't like the concept", "Negative, I don't like that you took away and refunded what I'd already purchased" and "Negative, I don't like the pricing".

A solve in the short term would be to add a second poll question where people can respond with clarification as to which type of Negative response they meant.

first i get why you guys did this, money, i understand it and i dont have an issue with it.
however the prices EVEN at 50% discount are way to high and i wont buy it.
for 3 colors i have to pay over 2000MC for my stalker, and how i look at it is i dont care that much to pay THAT much for a few colors that i can only see in my mechbay.

simply put IT IS NOT WORTH IT.
I understaind that it unlocks forever, thats great, but way way way to expensive. 14$ for paint, ill pass and i assume most others will pass also.

considering some HERO mechs cost less then that price i rather buy those.

Change ur prices and ill buy, but i will not buy at these crazy prices.

You have 10 now... You may feel differently when you own 20 and have applied the single-use paints to only half them and have to pay twice as much further down the road... ;)

But the prices are insane again... these are just colors... are you serious?

You have non-mc paints for use. 5 enough for simple color schemes. As for other paints... 125 mc (sale) and 250 mc for 1 color - insane price? 0.5$ and 1$ - big money? Or I don't understand something?

PC Gamer skin got reverted to original colors and changing scheme colors on other mechs doesn´t "overwrite" the PCG Camo anymore, very happy with this.

CBill prices for colors are too high, IMO, even discounted. I could see 200-300k CBills or 75 MC.

My Feedback:

I like that colors can be permanently unlocked.

I don't like that colors are so expensive, they should be 50-100 MC each to permanently unlock for all mechs, especially since there are so many colors. Currently they're just too expensive for me to spend money on them and they're not needed. The money I spent on camo before was refunded, but I can't replicate the looks without spending more now which isn't right. Not to mention, most of the colors I used before have been removed or changed, which I'll touch on below.

I like that patterns can be unlocked OR applied once for a low cost. However, it really doesn't make sense since 75mc one time fee vs 750 for 3-5 variants? I can do a one time x 5 for 425, why would I pay 750 for a permanent unlock for that chassis? THAT doesn't make any sense.

I do not like that patterns are only unlocked for one mech type, vs all of them UNLESS you drop the price to unlock patterns, 250 for a mech unlock would get me to buy it, but 750+ is way too expensive and I refuse to pay it. I know ya'll need to make money, but jacking your prices up won't make you as much as keeping your prices low cuz I would pay $5 10 times but I would not pay $25 twice. Keep your prices LOW.

The Biggest dislike I have for the new color system is the fact that you guys changed the colors!!?!! Basic green is now bright and ugly, vs dull and camoish like before. Many of the colors have been changed in brightness or hue, and most of them look brighter and uglier and I'm not happy about that at all. PC Gamer gray is now pinkish-greyish-white. PC Gamer black is now blueish. My camo greens and browns and tans are now different and not as camo-y as before. What happened to woodland dark? Woodland green? The desert colors? Who changed all the camo colors? They're not the same. Can we get the old colors back please? I'm not going to buy new camo or camo patterns until ya'll put the old colors back in.

While I'm on the subject, what did ya'll do to the FLAME and FANG? My dull red/blue is now BRIGHT BRIGHT red/blue. I am piloting a mech, not a race car. Bright colors = "hey shoot at me first! I'm over here!!"

Phranken is an awesome skin, that's why I bought it for my cat. It now costs 4250/3125mc to purchase W.T.F. (I wanted to make that 30ft tall, I'll settle for slightly lager). I understand that I unlock the colours/skin for all mechs, this is still not even close to being worth it. "Single use" means I only want this on that mech ONLY. Why the hell would I want the colours unlocked for all mechs? Please fix this, I love the Phranken skin, but I'm not shelling out 30$ for a skin I only want on one mech.

Yeah because you'll be saving a ton of money once you have 20 variants (or copies) of a single mech chassis.
