remember that 500MC isn't $5 dollars, its ~$2. If you look at another game like planetside 2, permanent camos are also $5.

I voted neutreal.

I like the unlock mechanic, but restraining it to the Mech model make the unlock overpriced, 75MC for a ont time use is fine, 750 for the unlock would be nice if unlocked for say, the whole mech category (Light,Med, heavy...) But look, 10 time the price of the single use, for a mech model, with 3-4 variant... This imply that I'd have to forsee at very least 10 pattern change... on those mech.

It's my opinion, but I doubt I'd change my pattern that often on the same mech type. I usually buy 1 pattern, then play with different colors.

I'm happy tho that the colors are perma unlocked, the price is still very high 1000MC for 1 color... and your are saying that there is about 130 different colors... do the math: 130,000MC to unlock all the colors. No for me sorry.

TL:DR
So Yes I like the new mechanic, but the unlock price is still to high for me.

I like the idea they tried to implement, but the overall costs are a little extreme for my liking. What I'm not really impressed with is the fact they added in 100+ odd colour's, yet the range of basic colours is still only the same 5. I was expecting to at least have a few more base colours to make use of rather then having to dump mc into them (which I probably won't anyway).

It now costs 3000MC to do a Phranken camo and paint job on a catapult!? You got to be kidding me!

My main and only gripe, is the color names.

I'm colorblind, I can understand "Blue, Red, Brown, etc"... I have no idea what things like "Indigo, Pleione, Chore, Hellblau, etc" are supposed to look similar to.

It would solve my issue if in parenthesis next to the "name" of the color to have a minor discription like -

"Blue"

"Pink"

"Red"

-etc. =)

Far be it from me to seem like a penny pincher or anything else.

I have spent hundreds of dollars on video games, and other things. I have spent over $2000 on computer parts to play said games just within the past 2 years.

I am more than willing to spend money.

But.. seriously. Like $10.00 to just unlock a color for one mech (or camo pattern).

Give me a break. I could see MAYBE paying $1.00 (yes, one dollar) to unlock a certain pattern or color for ALL mechs.

That is something I would buy. I would literally prefer at this point, to have paid $59.99 for the game, with a $15.99 monthly fee to get EVERYTHING included in.

This is getting ridiculous. Purchasing mechs, purchasing "premium time", purchasing colors, purchasing mech bays. My god, and this is still labeled "Beta".

Colors are where I make a stand. I am putting my foot down. IGP will *not* get a single hot red penny from my cold dead hands while these color prices are so insanely high. Period.

Not like they care, and not like it will make a difference, but.. jesus h christ. This is one step too far.

A little dramatic? You can do the same for 75 MC one time Pattern plus some basic colors for Cbills. No one is making you take all premium colors and perma camo.

So the update reset the camo of my 'Mechs, and now in order to get the camo back on my 'Mechs I have to spend much more than I had originally spent to get it in the first place?

Please tell me I am looking at this jazz wrong, I am getting legitimately angry at this point.

Permanent unlocks on camo should have been in effect on Day 1 and these prices are way to high again even the cockpit items.

Its been pointed out that unlocking a camo for a mech type is 750MC, single use 75MC. I find it hard to ever justify spending 750MC for a single Mech Type because that means i need to paint it at least 10 times in order to get my monies worth, and I only have 3-4 of certain variants some just 1-2 and i don't change paint jobs enough to justify it. I can't get behind buying a single use camo as what IF i want to change it.. if you are going to charge 750MC the paint job should be unlocked for all mechs of that same class (L, M, H, A) but the price needs to be dropped.

Then there is the colours, 1000MC for a single colour is ridiculous I realize these are "on sale" currently for what they should be priced at normally, again your rubbing me the wrong way here and its hard to not start getting pissed off.

Quite frankly i am just about done with you, your price gouging is getting out of hand. Where do i request a refund for ALL of my MCs? Returning 2000MC for 3-4 paint jobs then wanting to charge me over 2000MC just for ONE paint job is out of hand.

I like the new colors.

I don't like that none of them are basic. That's a pretty obvious money grab, huh?

Don't take this the wrong way -- I'm happy for the change to permanent unlock options, but charging this much is just a bit overpriced. (And the sale pushes it into purchaseable territory.)

On the other hand, I only have a few colors I use; the PC gamer skins, basic red and orange, and now the clan colors -- woodland green and yellow. (Because now they're permanent unlocks. And on sale. Those are the only reasons.)

So it doesn't affect me that much, but I still think things are too expensive.

Im mostly fine with the idea of once you buy a paint for 1000 mc its yours permanently.

But WTH is with continually changing the pc gamer colors? That is not "grey" anymore....

PGI you can not please everyone and this was a decent step in the right direction. I feel that the specials and camo should be unlocked by weight class not by mech type.

While if you end goal is to own a Atlas d-dd and you start with a K and get a skin you get your use out of it but for the current pricing, AND yes I understand you are a business and need to make money I feel that you would stand to make much more if you unlocked by class over variant. I know I would spend money 4 times on Dazzle and 2 times on Phraken if that was the case.

I rarely used the grey and prefer the new color still named PCGAMER Grey but its more of a washed out white but goes well and the Black is so so much better.

maybe a little warning next time is all or better yet keep these and never change them without input from the owners first.

I hate it. I got the MC refund, but cannot repaint my Mechs the way they were before this patch. It's way more expensive now. In fact, I cannot afford to repaint a single one of my mechs. WTF?

The paint is way over priced. The paint schemes are also way over priced per chassis. I had all my mechs painted up with either Dazzle or Phracken before the patch and was not "refunded" an equivalent amount of MC to do the same thing post patch.

Is it just me or are the Mechlab / the colours way too bright? I mean Prussian Blue looks like a very bright baby blue... Some more toned down colours would have been great. And ofc why did you take out Marine Blue?? It was perfect for Steiner units. Most Blues look like Superman comic Blues...

And +1 to the issue to changing the PC Gamer colours. PC Gamer Gray is now a bright bone like colour...

Tabletop extortion continues. Not even a ROYGIBV c-bill only paint set. Cool colors like metalics would have been nice to see…

PGI I understand that this is a premium free to play, you need to make money.

That said, why do you insist on charging GW prices for intangible items? To unlock a phranken pattern for the atlas, 4250MC ($16.99-$19.58 depending on mc package purchase) that is enough to buy paint for 30 models, let alone unlock access to a mass produced texture map.

As a miniature painter and a tabletop player I have known many other players who have chosen the route of a professional painter, sometimes paying $5-20 a miniature. The end result though is a possession and a keepsake when you give up finding time and space for tabletops.

The markup is ridiculous and I only hope other consumers speak with their wallets and abstain from paint purchases. This is beta, this is tunable, but the funds you are collecting are real and non- refundable.
PGI please put value in these purchases by lowering their price. You know more will sell, examine steam’s business model closely. Get people interested in this game because it is a quality value with incredible and unique gameplay. Stop insulting the community and myself because you now hold the rights to something we adore.

To the community; these are optional, they will not inspire terror in me. If you are a foe I will still stick you with 10 srm’s at 130 from my centurion, you will still kill me just as eagerly because I am only in free colors. Encourage PGI to make paints accessible by abstaining from purchase, stop tabletop extortion.
