Unlocked colors should show first in the list, with so many colors now it can be a pain having to scroll back and forth when messing with colors

Options for customizing are good. However, the change was to the hues of the friendlies on the minimap matches the background of some of the minimaps too closely and makes trying to differentiate them kinda a pain.

I was going to say 'neutral' but I changed it to 'negative.'

I really like the concept, but the prices are (in my opinion) insane.

1 free color (not counting the 3 PC Gamer colors).

5 (I think its 5?) 'mostly free' C-bill colors.

I will likely get 9 'basic' colors (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, Black, White), which is 9000 MC or about $40? 9 Colors? $40? Ouch.

Yes, I get them forever and ever and can use them on any mech I ever own.. but that is only 9 of the 140+ remaining colors. I know, some of them are only 500 MC. And some (18 'camo' colors) are on sale right now.

Regardless, that is, IMHO: WAY. TOO. EXPENSIVE.

People will argue, "But PGI needs to make money!" Yes, they do. Heck, I ponied up $120 months ago just to support them. But they could have made more from me if the prices were more palatable. As it is now, I will likely spend most of my remaining Founders MC (just over 9000 at the moment) to get some key colors.. and maybe a few bucks more to pick up a few more colors and a Phranken skin, but not much beyond that.

Anyway, that is my $0.02 on the topic.

There's a group at the bottom containing all the colours you've unlocked.

In the long run, this is better, you'll eventually want to buy new mechs, paint them up, and experiment color combos. Then if you join groups, you switch between group colors (for those who are wanting to role play) or your own personal colors without having to repaint every time.

Paint jobs on the mechs I had in my bays should not have changed. MC refunds should have been optional. That base color they chose for non-founders/hero mechs virtually requires that a player spend MC if they pilot anything but trials. Bad form PGI. Disgusting business practices.

Mr. Fat Wallet: "I want to buy a car. Where are the ones that are not snot-green?"

Mr. Sales: "...Ummm...."

Mr. Fat Wallet: "Guess I won't be buying a car."

Just out of curiosity, how much would cost to buy every color available right now?

He's talking about patterns, not paints. If you buy a full-use pattern for 1250 you can only use it on that mech. So if you buy Phranken for your Stalker, you can't use it on your Raven. There's no point in buying the full version unless you expect to switch between patterns frequently on the same mech.

Voted negative because of the absurd prices.

simple. if you like to change things up regularly, get the permanent skins. if you are like me and dont change patterns, get the single use. every one wins!

Ah I see, then I see that as a problem.

Here's an idea if you're going to make me pay for even basic colors. Sell them to me like a crayon box. Have a basic bundle, and a premium bundle. Sell a few 'standard' camo color packs. Lower the cost of colors overall to half of what they are now and sell all of these bundle packs at reduced rates from there.

Well, it gives people the option to buy cammo patterns permanently, if they switch back and forth a lot.
I do think they're charging a wee bit much for colors, and for phranken, however that just means I won't buy those.

So those of you who only keep 1 variant of a chassis should just buy the single use pattern if you don't plan to change it, colors are global unlocks, and single use patterns are pretty cheap, and those of us, like me, who want to change things a lot, can get the permanent unlocks.

What is bad about this?

If you don't want the mc colors, just buy the cbill ones.

Negative.

Too expensive, screwed around with the existing colours too much. Load of nonsense.
