The blue on the previous patch was Navy now it is Light Blue. If you are going to change the bass color on my mech I would like to be able to change it to whatever color I want and have whatever color pattern I want.

Also for colors $5 really I payed $120 for this which if this was a full game I would have had every item you have made so far. This will be the last F2P game I will ever play and the last one from you guys... RIP off.

I bet in the next update you will charge 100 MC to create a group every time I want to play a game with a friend.

Really colors should be free and mechs should cost cash. And not be $25 for a single mech but a bundle of 3-5 mechs. Then I just may not want to not buy something.

You did not pay $120 for the game the game is free. You invested $120 into the game.

While I totaly Disagree with their current Idea of gameplay balance, thier prices for colors are just fine. Go one day without buying a coffie from starbucks and buy the one color you really want.

I noticed the camo colors appear to be rearranged, I liked the grouping before under themes like Woodland. I cannot find plain Brown anywhere, I know there is Camo Brown. My PC Gamer skin looks to have changed appearance also and the PC Gamer Gray now looks like a really Light Pink.

Since we are talking colors here, I will say about colored chat, I do not like the two changes made. First when hitting T or G, used to be a box formed around previous comments with a black background, it allowed you to read what others said, now it is always transparent. Second the blue text is now more blue than cyan making the team chat hard to read.

I would again recommend allowing users to set chat colors themselves so they can pick the colors they can read,
dark colors are too hard,
yellow for Commanders can be confused with the same yellow used for Kill messages,
while I don't have it, it would allow people with vision problems like thos who cannot tell Red and Green to set colors they can read.
Finally there should be an ability to choose the black background for the text box. I know another MMO that allows players to set the transparency of that to their liking.

The system (aka process) of purchasing colors and patterns is clunky, but functional. Moving back and forth between the pattern and color groupings works ok, but scrolling through the options is not fluid.

The options of colors was improved. I like that. The options of available patterns is still low. I ended up using the default pattern with new colors because I don't enjoy the look of the other patterns.

The cost of the colors and patterns that are available seems overpriced. I bought permanent versions of Black, White, a couple each of the Blues and Reds. That cost me something in the order of 10,000 MC. I think it should have been HALF that amount for the items.

The prices are ridiculous.

I paid $120 or whatever it was for Legendary founders which is more than I have ever paid for ANY other game and you now want me to pay a S*** load more just to paint my mechs? Not gonna happen and you're off your rocker if you think I am.

So you refunded my money for the paints and stuff I used on my raven (which I regretted afterwards realising how much it cost). But now if I want to repaint the damn thing I have to pay JUST as much to do it again... So what was the point in changing it?

When I play Planetside 2 I'm paying 50 SC (Equivalent of MC) for a one use and 500 to get that camo for ALL my classes on that Character! AND they are considering making it an unlock for ALL characters as well.

OK they have a lot more players but still, their pricing makes sense and they are listening to what people are saying.

The complaints on here before the patch were that:

1) The paints etc cost too much.
2) You weren't getting to keep the paints etc.

The patch changed part of that by making permanent paints available but the prices were all jacked up even more... It's daft...

AND the current prices are even 50% off!!!!

rant over

You job "only" pays $14.5 and hour? You realize there are single mothers making significantly less than you and having to clothe, house, and feed themselves and a kid off that, right?

Then you say you can't afford it and list your computer stats....

You didn't pay a dime for this game. You paid to gain early access to playing it, a few other perks, and to support the development of the game. I never thought I would be one of those, "These kids these days..." guys, but some of you are really helping me evolve that way.

It is only 15 hours a week. I am a full time student. It cost way more to get an education then raise a child.

But you had enough to throw down $120 on this game? But that's beside the point and as a Founder you should know better. There are way bigger issues than paint prices.

The Founder's mechs look pretty cool with this patch but it is rather annoying to not be able to change their color at all with the exception at least on the Catapult of a barely perceptible strip of changeable color.

I think the UI for the paint scheme is actually whats causing most of this complaining from the fan base right now (what little there is). If you are clicking on colors to try them out you can actually ramp your price up above what it actually costs to unlock the scheme you want and just the few colors you actually want for that scheme.

When I first went back to put dazzle on my mech it appeared that I didn't have enough MC to do it again which would have sucked, however when I cleared my selection and only clicked on the colors I wanted and didn't try anything else out I was easily able to afford it with the refunded MC. The phranken scheme seems to be causing a lot of the problem as well and I am reading that people are trying to unlock the scheme AND individually unlock the colors for it at time of purchase when it's been said that buying the scheme unlocks the corresponding colors for it without going in and selecting them. (correct me if Im wrong on this bit I haven't tried it).

This Could be the cause of the confusion and it certainly didn't seem clearly represented on the UI.

Being that we have no idea about their sales, we can't make any sort of judgment about how their system is actually working other than a portion of players on the forums that are always complaining about things being too expensive while people not on the forums are buying said things anyhow.

And the sales seem like a fair deal, I'll be buying up a few camo paints anyhow to round out my options for colors a bit.

Actually you can just go in game, suddenly there's plenty painted mechs whereas before there wasn't. Same for my own. Love it.

I don't usually post in forums like this but I just had to say...... WTF?! My camo is gone. You gave me a refund so I can add more MC to buy your atrociously overpriced stuff which by the way is already at 50% off?!!? Come on guys.. I love the Mechwarrior.. Please don't ruin it for us fans with the whole cash thing. I know it's a business but seriously....

We don't know who's buying MC paint or just the c-bill ones or for which MC paints so we can't really judge how well the pricing system is actually working for the company. I do know that it is better to start on the higher end and work down from a marketing perspective though, can you imagine if they accidentally priced things too low and had to raise them? Super QQ and rage mode would be engaged across the sphere.

Wow... wait till you have kids.

The color of the founders mechs have changed about a dozen times since CB. Complaining about the price of a color when you can't effectively change any of the colors is not helpful. Going further to point out your donation to PGI entitles you to something other than what they promised and complaining about the color of the founder mech is laughable.

If you don't enjoy the game, don't spend money on it. Oh wait you're not.

It's a bit different than you think with the pranken afaik: When you chose it, it automatically adds the colors. You can then manually go there and un-click the colors if you just want the paintjob but not the colors. But you can't accidentally buy the colors double I think.

Nope, you have to pay the price for the pattern and the colours seperately, always - people are getting around the cost of the phranken colours by using OTHER black / red / bone type colours without using the Phranken colours

buying the pattern does not unlock or apply any additional colours, other than ones you have already pay for seperately
