Its not a mech with exciting loadout like Flame and Ilya has and I actually find it tricky to load it out in a competitive way... here's my loadout which I find just okish..

XL395
1 x ERPPC
1 x Large Laser
1 x Medium Laser
3 x SRM6
Endo steel, max armor

How about you guys?

All your weapons are split everywhere so you will have a hard time hitting stuff unless you use all 6 weapon groupings.

Do you really need that much SRM ammo? I never seem to be able to finish my 2 tons.

My general rule is number of SRM6 launchers + 1. It lets me rely on them in longer engagements when heat becomes an issue.

I am very quickly getting the feeling that XL engines definitely don't work with Pretty Baby... I die 9 out of 10 times due to side torso engine destruction... however, that is not to say that death isn't far away even without the side torso destruction since most of those times, my CT is red as well.

LIke all awesomes... You probably shouldn't use it as a brawler...Least with an XL and that large profile. Granted specific to the pilot I just remember having a ***** of a time attempting to brawl in a non XL awesome.

Not enough armor and built like an offensive line man. (Fat guy shaped like a Refrigerator for non U.S players)

XL 400
2x ER LL
3x Srm 6
Endo
FF
3ton Srm
16 DHS
stripped some leg armor
I don't mind the different reticle on the LL but I am thinking about removing the shoulder Srm, due to an accidental TK. My dmg is poorer than my 9m with 3xLL (no LL in the arm) and 1x SRM in the arm.
Edited to add
I have only ran it in pug matches and will see with a 4 man what my real dmg will be!

XL390
Endosteel
BAP
AMS
ER LL
ML
LRM15+Artemis
2*SSRM
15DHS

Run it as a fast capper in Conquest mode (With Capture Accelerator)

Just finished a match in mine. 6 kills 2 Assists with 1000+ damage. Been averaging around 2-3 kills and 600+ damage over the last few hours.

Running 2x LL, 1x ML, 3x SRM6 and then whatever else it came with. Didn't change much.

Well, my verdict on the pretty baby is sadly... its not worth the price... it brings nothing new nor exciting to the table and that incredibly slow deceleration actually made it less agile than it should be... feels like a regular awesome...

I agree after buying it! I do run a 9m in conquest but at least I can get a 30% CB boost for those matches

Just had my best game yet in the Pretty Baby... 2 kills, 3 assists and 688 damage. After 3 different loadouts, I've settled on 2x ERPPC, 2x SRM4, 1x SRM6, an AMS and the stock engine. May change the engine after more cash comes along... we'll see...

XL400
1 LL
2 MPLs
3 SRM6s (2T ammo)
18 DHS
Endo

Brawls just fine.  Can't wait for the speed tweak.

switched mine up to have

xl 400

2x Large Pulse Lasers

1x Medium Lasers

3x SRM4

Works well. Deceleration kinda hurts me.

It's a bit early to call, but I think the Pretty Baby might be even better than the 9M. Other than slowing down, it certainly feels more maneuverable, and it definitely has more punch (thanks to the SRM6s).

If PGI moved all the missile hard points to the RT and added an energy hard point on the left arm, it would be the sweetest mech of all time.

Loving my Pretty Baby, especially the incredible torso twist. But I play it as a skirmisher. Paired ERPPCs, 3 SRM6s, 340xl and as many DHS as I can fit.

Im running:
XL400
2x LL
3x SRM6
4x tons of SRM ammo
6x DHS in engine
Ferro (yes)
Endo

Every last slot is crammed full. 62/68 and 63/65 armor in the legs, full everywhere else. 1.43 heat efficiency. Moving at 81kmph without speed tweak, will be at 89.8 with.

I was really regretting buying the PB until I dropped the cbs for the XL400. It makes all the difference. The mech keeps up with Centurions and Dragons. The last game I played last night before heading to bed (have to go on a high note), I killed 2 atlases, a dragon and a cataphract in it. Speed is the weapon. With the exception of the Dragon (which I honestly got lucky and managed to get a volley of srms into his head) I got behind each of the mechs and pounded them correctional facility shower style. They couldnt shake me. Dark yellow back armor. Red back armor. Dead.

The only thing I wish is the arm missiles swapped places with the torso laser. That would make it the best mech in the game.

Its seriously good.

Oh the one thing I am wrestling with is dropping the SRM6s to SRM4s and picking up Artemis. Will reduce the alpha by 15 points, but it might concentrate my salvos.

Running XL380 / 2 LPL / 3 ASRM6. The alphas to the back of atlases / stalkers are <3. I've found that with the deceleration nerf, I pilot it a lot like a dragon - weaving in and out and stopping only to hide behind environment to avoid incoming fire or once I've gotten behind someone and they have yet to notice me.
