Come to think of it, they might be available to Snord's Irregulars as well.

Sorry, bur you missplaced the Mongoose..... it's a 25 ton Mech.

About the Spector: It's depicted in TRO 3058. Flufftext states, that the SLDF deployed this mech around 2640 and that
in 3048 there was a rumor, that the BigMac and/or Storm Metal Thunder MIGTH be deploying them. Both Units denied
using this Mech.

One of my favorites too, but not available yet due to the timeline we are in. It was made because of captured Clan Vultures. Since the Clan invasion hasn't happened yet, we won't have them.
Hopefully they will be in the game at some point, they really were one of my favorites.

I was looking for production date on the Bushwacker but couldnt find out.
If its based on the Vulture wouldnt that make it Omnimechish?

Yes, it is somewhat similar in its ability to be configured like an Omnimech.
No idea on its timelines either, just that it was developed from clan tech that was captured from the vulture.

No. The Bushwacker was originally a failed experiment - something about the long, narrow shape of the mech and the placement of the engine and electronics was creating problems. It was only after schematics for a Vulture/Mad Dog were captured that the problems with the Bushwacker could be fixed (IIRC due to the fact that the Vulture's/Mad Dog's engine shielding and system placement was compensating for similar effects).

The Bushwacker has no Omni-capability - the engineers just learned a lesson about the engine shielding and how to arrange the guts of the mech to get the mech to finally work correctly, and was put into full-scale production in 3053 by TharHes Industries on Tharkhad in the Federated Suns.

* all info courtesy of TRO: 3058, FASA Edition.

Mongoose has been corrected.

I'm keeping the Spector in for while.

How about the Star Slayer, Cestus, Striker and the Pillager? All were Star League Mechs that could have ended up in Comstar mothballs too (the Star Slayer in Lyran storage).

*edit: added some more mechs.

There are already several threads asking what mech you want to see, but what mech would you like to begin the game using? Think of mechs that are cheap for their weight class.

Me? I think I'd go with the classic Urbie. Cheap (1,471,925 C-bills) and effective. Packs a whallop and can go toe to toe with mechs twice its weight. I want to see the look on the newcomers faces when they get stomped by the trash can of doom.

Now that always amuses me no end, to see a Clan Trueborn Mechwarrior use the stravag names for our Mechs...please tell me that this one's codex has been wiped.

Myself, I would like an Atlas..but I am an Assault pilot ;)

If we start with Light 'Mechs: then I'll take a Commando or Wolfhound. Nothing else.

That was my other choice. Its like a Swiss army knife of mechs with the mix of weapons it has.
