Not with Robotech, it was with Macross, Dougram and Crusher Joe, and later on some 'Mechs by Victor Musical Industries (8 second-line 'mechs and 3 star league/comstar mechs).

And Harmony Gold is known to be a pain in the ****.

Sunder @ 3054+, btw.

I'll be retooling the list over the next couple of days, I won't bother with variants and whatnot, so there we should end up with a fairly complete list along the way.

So stay tuned.

Would this be a good time for me to go through the tech manual from CBT and list all the weapons available in 3049? :)

I do have a list lying around, you know.

I'm not convinced that the modern war machine of 3049,be they mercenary or a part of one of the Great House's inhouse military, would still be operating mech chassis long out of production, mainly due to lack of replacement parts.I would expect that any salvaged mechs, weapons and equipment would evently run out as the number of operational chassis diminished after the end of it's production run.I composed my list of mech chassis fron the Technical Readouts stored at sarna.net.I have retained the order of the mech chassis as they appeared in the Technical ReadOuts(TRO) and the BattleTech timeline they covered.

Actually it was not uncommon at all for mercenaries or great houses to have mechs that where out of production. Keep in mind that not every mech made saw actual combat, and many mechs where used as heirlooms. Some planets did not even have a single "battlemech" on the planet due to production costs and generally a lack of a true tactical need for the mech to exist there. Many of the internal parts of a mech where generic making it easy to get replacements even if the design was no longer in production. That is not to say obsolete models where not phased out which they where. Something that we the community tend to forget is mechwarriors went thru extensive training on how to preserve their vehicles as well because of the extremely high production costs. This is also why the majority of all battlemechs in production where Mediums, they gave you the most bang for your buck.

Lot of the mechs are on the banned list because of the issues with Robotech.
I know, for a while they were out again (Project Phoenix), but the issue reared its ugly head and now they're banned.

Likely you wont see some of our fav's, unless the dev's get clearence for them.

It would be a shame indeed to have the game shutdown becasue of a law suite before its even begun.

um you make a mistake about the favorite mechs or unseens.. the unseens are the body style that is what the whole thing is about as for the mechs themselves they can be used because they have been remodeled.

Storm are you creating the list from what you have read through TRO's or what?

I might go through and figure out the rarity of each of the ones you listed. I know mechs like the Shogun are super, super rare (only 3 I think) and there are others that are rare at this point in time before they are 'rediscovered'.

Some mechs are only currently produced by certain houses and would be rare in other houses too, so that is another factor to take into account....

Then there are those silly Wolf's Dragoons with their clan-ish tech and old lostech mechs in the mix.....

I just took the TRO 3050 list (original) and added in the Devastator, Hunchback IIC and Kingfisher.

I'll be looking at some RAT's next to see what should be available.

I'm not going to divide this by house and merc unit.

Good work on the lists. As long as I have my Crab, and the Highlanders have their undertaker machine, I'm happy.

I'd like something more than that to shoot at, though.

Might as well add everything in the TRO 3039 it basicly replaced the TRO 3025 and TRO 2750. Meaning many Star League Battlemechs in dumbed down forms and adding the Daboku 90 ton Mech.

Active probe 3045
AMS 3040
Ferro-fibrous 3040
Artemis 3035
LBX10 3035 (3058 for the rest)
UAC5 3035 (the rest were later)
CASE 3036
ECM 3045
Gauss Rifle 3040
Double Heat Sinks 3040
Endo-steel 3035
ER large 3037
Pulser laser 3037
SS Missiles 3030
Streak-2 3035
MASC 3035
NARC 3035
ER PPC 3037
TAG 3033

As for AC ammo, there's just the LBX cluster shots. The other types are all post-3050.

Missile ammo it doesn't really say except for a few that are all post-3050. I'd not assume that infernos were in if I were anyone here. Frag missiles are a 3050 listing.

Standard lasers and autocannons, LRMs and SRMs are all in. No MRMs, those were a 3058 invention.
