I'd prefer the Caesar or Cataphract to start with. Of the BattleMechs already out, I'd probably use the Catapult or Jenner.

Well apparently it's all going to be based on how many C-bills you've earned. I doubt we'll start with enough monies to get anything other then a Light at the very beginning. It doesn't look like they'll be using the Unseen and obviously we won't be able to start in Clan Mechs either. I also suspect that with old Star League designs being so rare they'll have limited availability. All that said I'd imagine starting Mechs might be based off House affiliation. It could perhaps go something like this.....

Davion: Javelin
Kurita: Jenner
Liao: Raven
Marik: Spider
Steiner: Wolfhound
FRR: Falcon

I dunno.
If on the other hand you're asking what I'd like to start with without any restrictions at all..... hmm I'm not sure. Can't go wrong with a Mad Cat/Timber Wolf I suppose. Ascetically I do like designs with digigraded legs.

For the Mechs we have now i would use the Centurion otherwise i would want to use the Enforcer for medium Mechs. For Heavies i want the Orion and Assault i want the Victor or Zeus. For a light Mech i want the Commando these are all the Mechs i would need for now.

Highlander

All of these are pretty iconic too, so they should be in regardless.

highlander or a flash bulb.(flashman) cause when one of your weapons is named Zippo Mark X Anti-Personnel Flamer you just get that warm fuzzy feeling .
