Yeah, we are supposed to be on the battlefields of the Inner Sphere, not a 24/7 Solaris arena.
Let's capture dropships, scout HPG's, go on patrols, and defend factories.

That's right, just when you're doing what that game is supposed to be about (mech combat), suddenly everything freezes and everyone gets kicked back to the mech lab. The game tells me my team won, but that's a lie. The only thing that happened is I got kicked out of a potentially good match. Everyone lost.
Sure, the cap provides a solution to that last near-death Light mech running off and hiding. But there's gotta be a better way to deal with that particular problem. There really shouldn't be a way to cap while most mechs are still up and undamaged.

My apologies if it seemed like I want to dictate what modes should and should not be. I was merely trying to express that with the way matches currently go TDM is redundant most of the time and that I like having options that encourage teamwork. The two seem to blur together now that I reread it.
