Apologies for yet another Clan thread, but was just curious.

I've seen SO many posts saying stuff like "I'm totally changing once I can have my Thor/Mad Cat/Daishi/Whatever", so was wondering how many would be staying loyal to the good old Inner Sphere?

I obviously will be!

Now of course, it's a fair way if, IF it happens. And we have no clue how it will happen, or anything else, so this is utterly theoretical.

I don't want to join the clans to feel powerful, I'll just crush their mechs and feel all the better being a freeborn skum who's done it all.

Stravag! You will be crushed beneath the Jaws of the Wolf! We come to liberate Terra from the corrupt. Stand not in our way if you desire life!

***Yes, I will be switching to the Clans when they arrive, I think..... or maybe I'll just go FRR and fight and die with my brothers***

If I can get a Vulture, then yes I would. However, I'd prefer to stick with House Steiner AND keep my Vulture if possible.

If I cannot stay with my house and get the Vulture, I will be sorely tempted to switch.

Talz, I agree with you, just with the Free Republic. Don't worry, eventually we will come to bring freedom to you as well...

I will end up switching sides during the clan invasion. And later, end up banging a very nice wolf clan lady.

Evendually i will get my new name and become Ward, after beating a real *** of a clanner who should have been an elemental.

*huh... it seems like i have read this all before some how.

******actually, if i can get my puma with all of its sexyness then i may likely stay a merc

NO. I liek being a inner sphere merc and if I want clan tech I'll pry it from the cold, dead hand actuators of my enemies. Besides, I don't like their caste system and other ideals one bit. INNER SPHERE!

I really like the summoner platform, so I would prefer to pilot one. IF the only way to do that will be to switch to the Clans, then I would seriously have to consider it. If, however, I can be IS and just buy a salvaged summoner, that is exactly what I will do.

Like others it depends on whether IS can access/salvage mechs (Vulture/Summoner)....

No! I am loyal supporter of the japanese honor style in battle. so no i will not change. Played House kurita for ages all th way back as far as i can remember when it was an option to do so.

Clans have better tech. but i alway liked th way IS does things better.

SCREW DA CLANNERS!
Only in the Lyran Alliace do you get pre-battle parties, mid-battle parties and post-battle parties.

Considering that they will be balanced, unlike the Clans during the initial invasion in the storyline, it won't exactly be some great achievement to defeat the Clans in MWO. Most likely, you'll have numbers in your favour...and, since Clan armor is no more effective at soaking damage than IS armor, you will probably end up with a slight advantage in the durability of your force, if anything, since higher numbers will allow you to get behind the Clan mechs and hit their rear armor more easily.

I would really like to play as a Clan Mechwarrior however i have concerns that the Clans are going to be nerfed to cater to the whining off all the losers who keep going on about unbalanced clans vs IS.

I honestly hope that there will be a BV system put in place that allows the IS to gain a BV equality with a clan force. If this means i need to take a Star out against a company then so be it. I'll play with those odds.

If the clans end up just being differently shaped mechs with neutered weapons then i may just as well stay IS and pilot my Cataphract.

Semyon
