... play a minimal amount to keep skills up?.....

How about playing to get better at playing? Or to have fun? Or play something else.

Play MW Tactics. It will take longer to master since it's a card collecting game as well as turn-by-turn. Much slower so your grind will take up most of a year or two before you can re-do this post on their forums.

Good luck!

Do you enjoy playing? Then keep playing. If not, then don't.

Perhaps look into creating videos for your best chassis' (Tutorial/load-out videos) as a way to give back to the community/game that you played so much of.

First, you Liked your own post.

More importantly:

Has it occurred to many of you that with the amont of posts you make, you've spent as much time on this game as I have, only in the Forums, not on the Battlefield

Hahah holy crap he did!!! That f**king hilarious

Star in adult films?

Just joking with you. Great job! I wish I had the time and the drive to do it. Maybe start a clan/group and teach them. I had fun with MOHAA,COD, and BF playing in leagues/matches/tournaments in the day. Really helped to refine my game.

Void that be Ron Jeremy the **** star not icecase just FYI

I had a job when I bought the Legendary Founders.

Fortnight later, job went pooft!

For various reasons, I can't drive, never have been able to. Makes finding a job tougher. I look, I live in hope, but if you're over 40, the market out there is tough.

Please note I am in Australia, so employment situation here is different to the USA. Less fulltime out there, more part-time.

Yeah, there's some gold about.

However, I believe Douglas Adams expressed a more accurate view of Australia in this:

Yes, we are home to the most venemous snakes and spiders. Nasty reptiles, peeing Koalas, and never forget the wombat.

You may want to diversify your gaming portfolio. Clearly you have a PC that can run decent games. Download steam and look at whats out there. Im pretty sure theres something else that you would enjoy playing.

BAH, then he will simply be on the hook to master hundreds and hundreds of cheap games. At least that is how I feel about it. Silly steam and their evil sales forced apon me. (all sarcasm guys its OK)

I think you summed it up nicely. (even ignoring potential sarcasm)

I was out of games. It took a new Mechwarrior to get me back in. When I get bored with this, I won't play games unless something hooks my interest. I'm a fickle creature with simple tastes. However, when I go into something, I hold nothing back.

Hence, I set a goal. I make it. I relax a bit, and set about maximising my fun (playing with a Dragon build meant to breathe fire right now).

Campaign for e-sports support and start getting involved in team play and tournaments. This could be a really great e-sports game, but Piranha chose not to build it that way from the ground up the way DotA 2 was, and I feel it's missing a lot of features that would keep people interested long-term. All progression eventually ends, we need ladders and regular events (hopefully with prizes) to keep our most valuable players engaged.
