Well. You're obviously a hardcore fanboy... Why not branch out?
Start a fan site?
Make some videos showing newbies WTF to do?
Start a competing podcast to NGNG that comes out more than once a month and maybe has some real info every time too?
Get a job/life/girlfriend/other hobby//go to school/watch a sunset/etc (sorry, I had to)?

TL;DR: The game has enough grind; don't **** it up for the rest of us who haven't/won't play 16 hours a day every day til death do us part (oh, and I have before, this game is just nowhere near good enough currently for that kind of fanatical dedication).

seriously this. I am an 1/8th maybe.... maybe. But I also have a job, other hobbies, a social life, and girlfriend all deserving of time and I still play about 15+ hours a week..

Find another hobby, seriously, specialization is for ants and when you are 80 you might just wish you spent a few hours trying to learn to spin fire or build lasers.

Quite a feat...gratz mate!

Would you mind disclosing the number of games you played so far?

im kinda where you are at, just not near as many mechs. Lately, I have been spending cbills to stockpile weapons. My general rule is that i always have at least 5 of everything (except narc and SSRMs and MGs which are useless to me). When I am done with this I will be arbitrarily buying engines (I know im gonna need a few XL265s for Jagermechs). I wish we had a way to visit the arms merchant independently of battlemech customization, this whole process would be so much easier.

Have you managed 8 kills yet or 2000 damage? Just a thought.

Yeah, this is not so good. Mind you, I am totally unco-ordinated, and playing from Australia (Helloooo 280ms geolagshield).

Wins/Losses: 2,492 / 3,428
Total Games: 5,940
KDR: 0.51
Total XP: 3,199,453

Nope. I've had a few 1300 Damage games, and a dozen or so 5 kill games, but that's it. I have to lagshoot nearly everything faster than an assault (bring on state rewind).

Find your favorite mech you have the most fun playing with. And play just for the sake of it, not for the grind.

There's always meta-game and community warfare stuff- join a house, merc corps, train up an elite corps of mechwarriors like yourself.

So, you are a rat needing cheese there OP? You can't just play a game to have fun? You must love the "kill 5000 goblins for a rusty sword" type of nonsense.

Hmm...

I'm pretty sure at this point you have no recourse other than GO TO DISNEYLAND! :D

Not sure if your accomplishment saves my faith in humanity or reinforces is ruination...

That said, there's folks that can't be bothered to zip their zippers and you accomplished this. I have to give you serious kudos for tenacity!

Man I bet those Spider and Commando grinds were the worse, only mc spent on conversion was to get those crap variants to basic before I sold them.

Congrats Void. I own all the mechs and have a lot of them mastered but not all of them. I know a guy in my clan is just about to the same point as you. he has them all and is working on mastering up his last few. doesn't have an engine in all of them yet but not too far from it.

I really think there should be a special bonus for this, maybe like X3 basics or something. that would be cool.

Not really. I'm a pessimist. As soon as ECM came in, I knew things could get really painful later on. Wanted to get some stuff out of the way before then, and I'd already hit the red button. However, I do like having something to shoot for, whether it be long term or short.

The most important thing is fun. You can take a little annoyance now, knowing it makes life easier later on. Now is when the fun begins.

Funny you should say that. Without any need to push for C-bills, or XP, I'm going to pilot...a Spider.

D Model 255XL, Max FF armour, GECM, BAP, ML, Flamer, TAG.

Does insignificant damage.

Makes one heck of a scout/spotter/capper for Conquest mode, which I play because it makes you think all the time, unlike Total Deathmatch Assault where all the lines are known, and you get insulted if you cap too early. That and the Spider really does suck in Assault.

I'm only an atlas master :P . To busy enjoying them (and my 4sp) to master any others. I have earned enough xp with atlases to elite cats and hunchies, and unlock all pilot modules.

And now, for you?.. I'd say you deserve a YouTube channel to boast your awesomeness with...oh, and your life back :D .

Never be disappointed.

This is my first game I've played in ages, and I went over the top (having been a BT fan for 25 years).

Play what you enjoy. I couldn't stand Assaults until I spent some heavy time in a few. Still don't like them though :D

You enjoy Atlases. So do quite a few other people I know. I wasn't sure what I enjoyed, hence my quest. Now I'm free from constraints, I'll pilot a Spider, since Spiders are really fun when you don't have to worry so much about doing damage, or grinding XP.

Find the mech you enjoy, and play on. Experiment a little, which you are doing. Best of luck on the Cats and Hunchies.

Out of both the Commando and Spider I feel the D versions are the good ones. The other versions I feel are crap. However, my goal is to just own at least 1 of each mech mastered. Reason I sold my unwanted Spiders and Commandos. Also, grats on the achievement!

If anything, I'm surprised about the forum population's "concern" for your "well-being".

You should celebrate by getting a UMAD? decal when its out.

You mean if I wasn't insane before, I should be by now?

When I think of the games I remember best, they weren't so much about damage, kills or win/loss. They were about the people who made comments that cracked me up, acts of honour and kindness, and the game where the result got blown in the wind as everyone just rocked in an allout true spirit of the game type brawl. They were what has drawn me to MWO for a while.

As for a UMAD? decal. No thanks, don't do external decorations.

However, I am waiting for the Fluffy Dice as a hanging companion for Mr Urbie, my intrepid cockpit sidekick.
