Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

YES, its a good mech I am rolling with 2 Large pulse lasers, 1 med pulse laser and 3 srm 6 still using the xl engine, almost got speed tweak so over 70kmh. I can 360 an atlas an deal massive damage. further you can outrun any battle with that speed while u are capable of doing the damage of an assualt
Just one problem for inexperienced players is that the awesome has large hit boxes so its very important that you turn our torso if u are not shooting so you absorb damage with your arms. (and ofcourse keep an eye on your shoulders due to the xl engine)

The Head mounted energy and the 2 missile in the 4 tubes just kill viable builds.
Doesn't help that you have an arm mounted energy with a torso mounted energy which makes running duals of anything ( large laser, ppc, ect) a trial in getting your damage in the same locations.
Sure you can run a SRM boat, but so can a centurion, at least it has a ballistic slot.

Or you could shoot at two targets at the same time. I came out of a city brawl just now where I took down a Stalker and Dragon in succession just doing that.
The PB ***is*** fun, especially in city corners.

But, that doesn't mean it's good and it certainly lets your team down by tie'n up a Assault slot where your team could of had an atlas or stalker instead.

You haven't visited the 8-man queue recently, have you?
Bwaaa Haaa Haa Ha....who the heck is saying anything about 8-mans...or "competetive" ? You're not taking Death's Knells into 8-man's either...doesn't mean squat.
The point of a hero mech is to generate C-Bills. In skilled hands it does that just fine.

I guess 5xD-DC + 3-3L 8-man games are the epitome of fun then.

Much thanks community.
Clearly, the only people relevant to my post (that is, the OP and the person I was directly replying to) were both talking about "competitive" and "8-mans."

I was being serious. It's painfully obvious that you've not been anywhere near the 8-man queue in a good long while. Over the past few days, I've run into 6 RVN-3Ls and 31 JR7-Ds in the 8-man queue, not counting what my own team fielded or repeats of the same team. On average, the number of D-DCs on the opposing team was closer to 2.5 than 5. And my own team very rarely fields either of those Mechs.
