I can see the developers pushing the players to spend money, havent we spent enuff on the founders programs with little result? hardly any maps or mechs or other content. they are being released at a snails pace. this game is not worth any money yet. its full of bugs. has little content. and quite frankly it is extremely dissapointing. when will you turn the ammo and repair costs back on. all you have done is promoted people to rush out to die in no time flat. teams full of atlas' piloted by people who have no business in them. I personally will not activate my premium or spend more money till this game improves vastly. i could go on and on about the problems with this game but why bother. hey developers, have a look at other games and learn something. you are dropping the ball big time. I cant even play with the many friends i have who were excited about this game cuz they have given up on it already. the old excuse that this is beta is not enuff. once you start charging players for everything, youre game isnt beta anymore. start using the mountain of cash youve already made to fix this game or you will find yourself dead in the water.

Whatever, burnout. I spent money the other day and I'll spend it again. I'm happy with the development process and where we're looking to be in the near future. I LIKE not having repair/rearm costs because it allows people that can't afford premium time all the time to pilot whatever loadout they want. That's just good game design. There will always be people in atlases that don't know what they're doing in them. They gotta learn sometime.

You just sound burned out and pissy. Go play something else for a while and come back in a few months.

Hardly any new mechs? Raven, Spider, Cicada, Cataphract, and the Stalker add to that the Trebuchet that will go live with the next patch.

River city... And the new Alpine map next week. The devs them self have stated that once the desert map is done they have a full set of assets for building maps and that should speed up the creation of maps (cursive is my personal assumption)

Repair and rearm will most likley not come back as it was deeply flawed and did not work as it was intended. Also this is a game... entertainment... So i fail to see how anyone could be in a position of "have no business in them". If someone like to play an atlaspilot they can... It does not require passing a drivers test.

As for beta... beta is beta no matter what you think about it. This game is not a finished product.. ergo it is a beta release. The devs them self have said that the game will reach minimum viable product (and thus not be in beta any more) once the community warfare is in.

But you are right, you are free to not spend any money on this game or activate your premium time.

While I can respect your thoughts and opinions about the game as you are entitled to have them. You have done nothing more here in this post but to create yet another thread about why I like or dislike the game and at the same time told a people how they suck at what they are doing or their doing it wrong. So far at this point none of these threads have ever made any real impact on the game and have only brought about negativity around hear. This in itself lacks wisdom in actions. Many people are having fun, I included. If you are not than you might ask yourself why. If this game tanks then I had fun while it went down and will have lots of good memories.

Many of children have left the play area in a fit because it didn't go the way they wanted it to. While the others who stayed to play until it was over, shared in much joy and fond memories (laughter and stories) of the good times for days to come. Sad the ones who left won't have this.

Did you run out into the open on Forest Colony again? :P

Why is it you find it hard to accept that a company that's in the business of producing/marketing video games wants to encourage you to spend money on those same video games?

You say stuff is being released at a snails pace, correct? Well I bet you're also the first one to complain when something is released that doesn't work as intented. Everytime something is changed, added, nerfed/buffed, deleted or otherwise altered it has to be extensively tested as there's always a chance it will mess things up. PGI/IGP are trying to make the video game we all want, not a Whopper with Cheese. It isn't possible to have extra mayo without the risk of spoiling the whole burger. And no you can't 'have it your way' as they can only make one burger for us all to share. Get used to it and you'll be a lot happier.

Maybe, just maybe, if they didn't have to spend so much time, effort and money dealing with attitudes like this, they may be able to dedicate more of that time, effort and money in making this game even better than it already is?

Just a thought.

To be fair it is kind of lame to be pushing people to spend even more money on a game that's nowhere near finished and, for all we know, might not even make it to production. But it's hardly mandatory and PGI's approach is a lot less overtly sleazy than most F2P companies.

Personally, I just ignore the ads unless I see a C-bill symbol in there somewhere like with the colors.

I hear some games only have two maps.

I also hear most games only support 4 rolls, without variations.

I fail to see the issue.

I have never spent a dime on the game, and I don't use Premium Time, GXP conversion, or MC for Mechs other than to show off Heros on the twitch events. I play exclusively as someone who has zero MC - I have three Cicadas and a Phract 3D. If a new non-Hero Mech comes out I want, I'll see the 3D and buy it.

So believe me when I say there are people 'on the inside' who play just like you do to make sure these systems work.

  • If you're burned out, take a break.
  • You don't have to spend any money if you don't want to. Definitely don't need to.

Seriously though, I've played a fair amount of F2P games, and this is the only one I don't hate the 'grind' of. The Cadet Bonus alone means that within three hours I can buy almost any Mech in the game I want.

Also: Buff Cicadas MIRITE.
