Wanted to just say Hi. Just joined onto the site. My friends have been talking about it a lot so I thought I would join in.

Hey Kraktzor. You finally got me to join up.

I've been browsing corps ever since I bought a founders pack and started re-learning the mechwarrior ropes, which was a few days ago. In recent times, I've drummed a few good builds out of the mechlab and repaired my initially terrible kd/r. With that done, I feel ready to sign up for a corp... and with nobody representing the tenuously repressed anarchy of the once-piratical Oberon Confederation, I'm instead drawn to the unrepressed FRIENDSHIP of the probably-quite-mad ELP.

Are you guys still recruiting?

Yes, I think we're always recruiting, just head over to our site and take a look around. If you like what you see, consider filling out an app.

Now I have two posts! Does that make me more intelligent? Well anyway my favorite universe has been invaded by bronies, should have known that was coming. ELH was awesome nonetheless.

You know what, let me tell ya' something: I've got two tours of Iraq, one in Afghanistan. I've got an Expert Field Medical Badge, a 300 PT Score, and I run long distances (usually 5k to 10k) most weekends for charity and fun. I work hard, I take care of my family, and I've definitely earned my man-card. But you know what? I LIKE My Little Pony. For a few minutes a day, I get to sit down with my wife and daughter and watch a show that doesn't have overt sexual themes, overplayed tropes, or anything I need to be worried about. Sure there are other shows she could watch, but this one's funny, creative, and refreshing. I've travelled the entire world (okay, not so much the Far East, never been to Japan whatever, you get the point), and about 90% of it sucks, so I have no problem spending some time getting into this neat little show that focuses on developing tight-knit bonds. And it's obviously working, seeing as to where this "Brony" movement has come up with phrases like, "I'm gonna tolerate and love the **** outta' you." Sure, I might not have used that exact same expression myself, but look at it this way: A group has come together for no other purpose than to get along with others. There's no overt power-struggle, no "My group is better than yours because..." It's just plain, simple, fun. And I can definitely get behind that.
